ERT Mod possibility

Yeah, when I typed in ERT it jjust gives me a bunch of businesses. But when I type in "ERT RPG" it shows both this forum and the old, inactive ipbfree forum. But I don't think somebody looking for a text rpg like this will specifically know to type in "ERT RPG"

Good good. I'm going to adjust the tags, but ERT is the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's swat team, so I am in competition with them for top ranking XD

that sucks. how many tags we got so far? Well probaly have to come up with 100 to beat the police lol

Any suggestions on possible tags can be PM'd to me. I've got about 20, but it's not the tags, it's how relavent tehy are, and the hits

If you guys need help, I might be able to reskin for you. I am a little busy with my mod althought I could help you from time to time. And shouldn't the title be changed? You know just take out possibility.

If anyone has models, I could do the lights for it. I'm getting kinda bored so Im open to help!

I'm asking people send all their models and that if they want them in the mod to me, it's been severalmonths and nothing yet, so I'm assuming I'm the only one working on the mod?

Dont worry about it bud, if you keep trying you can easily learn to model, just takes patients.

Yeah, just keep trying Find some online tutorials, there are plenty of them out there.

Also, remember, Zmod does do some shapes too!

Just takes time. I remember my first "ok" model, it was so bad, but I was proud of it. I took advice and criticism that made me want to keep doing it.

Yeah, I see. I just don't know how to make like polygons and stuff. Just the simple things, like squares and spheres and stuff.

Yeah, I am almost done with my ambulance, I had to redo the whole cab because I didn't like it and I wanted it to be an older model. I just finished a water tower that I think looks neat but need to add detail to it . I am great with bases, but the detail kills me.

I have been working on the mod latley and I have made a great advancment. I think you'll be plesently surprised in te next few days. Although it's not 100% ERT accurate, it's sick.

Im working on the front right now, which is a pain in the ass because of all the curves and angles, but I think you'll like it in the end...

Good luck with it, the model is looking really good. I'm not a very experienced modeler, but perhaps you could make separate models for the extra things (like pre connects or sirens or lightbars) and just add them on later, it could ease the a little stress and difficulty when making the front. Or it could just make it more complicated, lol, I really don't know.

It depends, but the more on the model you can do the better. I build a lot of stuff off the model (ex: hose reel), then attach it so I can move it, etc. with out editing the base model.

I think I got the hard part figured out, now just gotta finsh the front, then back, then stablizers, then reduce the poly counts cause its going to be way up there.

The hard part isn't the model, it's the animations needed!

SHIT!!! My zmod crashed just as I finished the whole back of the model! Autosave dosent work for shit... oh well, just get to start what I finished in the three hours I put into today.

I'm sorry for saying this but FAIL!! Nah, same thing happened to me yesterday, had to do half of it all over again. I'm probably going to just try to make lightbars or something.

Bummer lol, I goto the backup file and it is less recent than the one I have saved... At least it wasn't a super detail area. :0

how do you make your mirriors? If you don't mind sharing. I can't for the life of me get a good looking mirrior!

What kind of mirriors? Like on fire trucks or cars?

both lol, I have more problems with car mirriors but i still can't get them looking nice.

For fire trucks, I use the objects that zmod can create and build them seperate. So for the ladder, I used a horizontal cylinder, connected a verticle cylinder to that, then used the create polygon tool to round off the edge I created. Then I created a box and attached it to that, then connected it all the the main model. Ill create a better tutorial with pictures and such to explain it better for you.

I've recently fixed my entire set up and I'm ready to go again, so if anyone has models for me that they sent once upon a time, I need them again to update skins, et, and combine with my parts too

I'll finish Ladder 1, uv map both trucks, then send them to you.

I seen it on my other computer and all I have to say is...awwwweeeesssooommmee!!! Sorry for the long strung out word. Just lettin' ya know how I felt. Did that bomb squad truck say DC-1?

Also, this might be a good project for CFD or something when this is all ready. (aka Blackbird)
