    S. Morrigan wrote:Davis, I have no issue with having you join in on some lights. I don't see why we can't all collaborate our strengths here. However, I can't send it to you til I've given it to DC and he's given the go ahead. But I'd like once it's out to be able to continue to improve it, and perfecting the lights will be a large part of a fast update. I have a few changes I know will need to be made at that point (Director bars, 360 visibility on slicktops and stealth units, etc.). I will definitely keep you in mind when we get there.

Thanks you guys for the support. I hope the reskins are sufficient enough to keep everyone happy while the real modders are working hard on a true to form project (I'm not doing this to overshadow you guys in any way).

Ok thanks. I just need to know what light patterns to use. I'm still learning, but I think I've got most of it down. I'll get better with time.

And Raven, thanks. That would be great.

The skins are base game skins.

Anyone who wants information on ERT things, I'll provide it, it's written down somewhere, and I've got it all memorized anyways.

Anyone have ideas on free upload places?

So a HUGE thanks to Hannahan. I now have some LA mod models I needed. I will now be able to make proper skins for:
    RA-1
proper lightbar on Chargers and Crown Vics
    SEV
    EMT ambulances

and more that I can't think of off hand. I'm super excited about how much closer to our vehicles the mod will be. Sorry DC that I haven't uploaded yet, life took a crap on me. I'm going to add the vehicles before I upload. If you want it now though, toss me a PM, and I'll send it anyhow.

Like I said earlier, send it to me when you're ready, or if you want something finished (ie details) I'll gladly do it. My name will have to be in the credits if not for work directly, for the work I did with the NY mod, so I mean a lil help won't hurt it :p

I plan on giving credit to you guys in te order the NY mod does, followed by myself, Hannahan, and then those who are going to be helping (Raven since his Medic is slated to be featured, Davis' lights, etc.)

Libor, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I've got a couple of ideas on what could be tailored, but it'd be a future update.

As a side note, and I know skilled modelers are very busy and hard to come by, the one model that we are desperately short on is the new Caprice. I'm not saying this to beg for a modeler, but if someone wants to make one, I'd be more than honored to feature it in our mod.

This started out as a just fun for me on the side thing, but I'm really happy about the prospect of sharing in the enjoyment of ERT with all of you, and being able to contribute in our own little way.

(And yes, I will make sure that Hoppah, Voodoo_Operator, and all those who gave their part to the LA units are properly cited.)

UPDATE: Oh FML. So... Thank you for the files. I appreciate it greatly. Apparently it's my DDS converter that doesn't work. So I have to do some scouring and find something else to do the job. (Have DDSConverter2 and 1.2, not working, can't afford Photoshop) So I'll update eventually. Sigh.

I have the sirens that ERT uses, and all that stuff, and as for conversions, I can do those as well. No as for the caprice model, I'd say just drop it out of this version, and work on one for next

To create DDS files? No. Actually, I recommend using png files. Windows can save those natively, and they work with the game, all major files do, it's just Hoppah used DDS for compression

Davis: Thr current plan is to release the mod mostly as is. I've converted the units to be lit in proper colors(police), so you'd be taking the mod as it's released. You won't have to edit the .e4p files at all. Everything you need is done within the editor. You'll just click the unit name, hit edit lights, and have a ball. Smile

I'm the same way, I'm not very good at cars, ok at SUVs, and good at large trucks.

I'll use the cab, but I'll redo the body because they don't match.

So after screwing around and putting it off, feeling unhappy with the way it looks and second guessing every piece, I finally gave up and the file is currently uploading.

So once DC is finished with it, it will be available. Sometime hopefully soon, I'll also post pictures up here of the units I've been working on (RA-1, etc units from LA mod.)
