I'm so sorry, but I can't help with anything. I really want to learn lighting or modelling.

Re: ERT Mod possibility
I am an alright lightman. I could do some lights here and there but i'm still working on doin the light in a pattern (a rythmic pattern like left 1 sec right 1 sec left 1 sec and so on). Actually it's getting kind of easy. I could even do lights where there's not supposed to be one.

Lighting is very easy to learn, just take patience to get realistic patterns.

Once i spent an hour doing lighting, but I never did it too well. I kept trying but then I decided to just play the mod.

I was tallking about lighting, modeling take a very long time and patience. Then for mods you want to do an interior and such.

Yeah, your lights on the AUS Large Ambulance were awesome! I downloaded PRL, though. Your lights were beast though, especially the directional bar.DCBurke wrote:Or luck like I had

Jack, if you're interested in doing models, find a unit in the ERT you can do for sure, and PM me, I can then provide everything you'll need

Re: ERT Mod possibility
The model I started was suppose to be a quint, but the base looks more like a pumper. I got to the point of the ladder and it was canceled. As for modeling L1 i would love to, i may have some problem with the ladder part but should be okay.. I can not UV map yet though still working on figuring it out

Can you import google sketchup because I have two ladder trucks that I made and I may be able to convert it to ERT ladders.

I can import, I looked at your models and they would have an outstanding number of polygons though

Thats just because google sketchup is stupid that way lol, Your models were actualy really good, thats the reasoning behind the polygon count

Re: ERT Mod possibility
Bad models (ugly ones) in sketchup equal good polygon count in Zmodeler. But you see the New York mod? They have so many things on they're trucks and it looks really good. They also have lots of polygons.

Re: ERT Mod possibility
Sketch up models for a fire truck would have 30,000+ plus polys. If made is z modeler they have 2000 to 10,000.

I use to do a lot of moding when i was younger and had free time, but if we are serious about it I could get back and learn back what i use to be able to do and we could make some good lookin cars.

Re: ERT Mod possibility
I am serious about it. Right now I have someone doing an impala and I believe CV. Anyone who is interested in doing a pumper or a ladder, I'll gladly supply pictures, I'm doing other models now too. I'll head this up and I'll do my share of work, but I want to make this a community effort. Anyone else in that can do anything?

Re: ERT Mod possibility
If you just do like a basic white skin, draw head lights and like blow on a logo or something, whatever you consider basic, I'll make it look good. It's what I do. Mikey got pissed at a mack truck one day, so I finished it for him before he blew up LA

*plus 1 warning*
And people, possibly. I know I'll be in it, in several forms, and the higher ups def will be, I'll try to include everyone. If you do something good in the mod, I'll get you in. Raven, since you're an HRES nad you said you'd do something for it in PM, I'll probably make you the HRES officer

I think it would be cool if in the missions the only vehicals allowed are our active units. In free play you can use the hole works.
