Lucky Princess Fire (Boat)

*Nicholas and I finish over haul of the room so I grab the line and step out. I walk over to the door to room 218. the fire has burned through the exterior wall and has began to crawl over the halway ceiling. I open the hose on the ceiling knocking the fire back. I turn the stream to the hole in the wall and attempt to make it bigger so I can flow in more water.

'When your ready Nicholas open the door so we can get this fire out.'

I slow down my breathing as I only have a little bit of oxygen left. I see the Jayhawk flying around and wonder why it is taking so long. I look at Hannahan and shake my head: "I'm alright. How long does it take to land that bloody thing."

'I don't know but I hope they land quickly. How's your victim doing?'
*I look back as I see the rit bottle still have a good amount of psi for both of the firefighters. I try to check their pulse but I can't since I'm too weak and tired to do so. I check how well they're breathing and see that they're still doing alright but they need to be put into the triage area quickly.*
'I hope that they get down here quickly.'

"All T.O's, whats your current unit status?"

**I get my pen ready and document the time, as well as a picture of the scene at this point.**

"Rescue 1 with the update. We're now awaiting the Jayhawk with the PFD firefighters and our air is getting low. We're on the stern of the deck right now. Do you copy?"
*I hope he can hear over the rumbling of the fire and I look over the edge of the boat seeing nothing but foggy, dark water below.*

" Pump-11 Command to STO Garcia.....Pump-11 is splintered into two teams of two,both teams on 2nd floor and working their way forward towards the source of the fire, Squad 1 is paired with Pump-11 and under my command. Squad 1 and myself are on Suppression and Search ops on the 2nd floor about to head back inside as well. "

' Chuck, Florian, you guys ready to go in again?. '

'Yeah I'm all set.'

*Nicholas pops the door and smoke starts to roll out of the room, I open the hose to a wide pattern soaking the walls. I wait for Nicholas to back me up before I move forward. I aim up at the ceiling and at the ajoining wall to the room we just finished. I work the hose in circle patterns to knock down wide areas of fire.

' Alrighty then u gys lets head back in. '

* Myself, Van Der Water, Davis and Jansen start our trek back into the boat. *

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Matthews.....We are boarding the boat now. We'll start to make our way somehow to the other side of the fire if possible and attack. "

" copy that floan, we're being met with heavy fire the closer we get to the center of the ship, may be pretty heavy on your end too"

' how we doin colwell?'

*I check my air and loooik up at Tim and give him a thumbs up.*

'Lets get this taken care of now.'

' alright, thats what i like to hear'

' alright, lets move onto the next one'

" matthews to anders, if you guys need to take re hab, do it now so we dont all leave at once BREAK matthews to floan, colwell and i moving onto room 227"

*Me and Tim head to the next door. I check it and it is hot.*

'You ready Tim?'

*I walk behind Floan as we head into the ship.*

'Hey dude, if you wanna get to the other side, let's try to work our way down the hallway and just follow it down the ship.'

*Nicholas gets behind me and I can feel the weight of the hose disapear. I take the nozzle and start directing the water on to the walls and the room starts to fill with steam. I watch the fire finally go out in the room and stand by for Nicholas to do some overhaul. I set the hose down and help by walking over to the closet and checking inside. There I find a young boy slumped over unconscience. I go down to feel his pulse and get one very faint. I listen to their breathing and can hear him gasping for air. I hold his chin up and carefully look into his mouth and I see a build up of soot. I take out my O2 bag amd put the non-rebreather mask on the kid before picking him up.

"P-11 Anders to P-11 Matthews, We have a ped victim we are taking out now, Will grab rehab on the way back in. BREAK Anders to EMS,we have one pediatric yellow coming your way."

'Alright Nicholas, lets head out and get this kid otta here and grab rehab.'

' Yea but there in lies the problem Chuck. '

* I point to the hallway showing Heavy smoke and the orange glare of flame showing through the smoke *

' 1st gotta negotiate that, unless we can find another way either above or below. Hold on lets check it out, Do me a favor...While im working this out take Florian and check the rooms over here, I dont see them marked with anything showing they were checked. '

" Pump-11 Command to OSC Raven, do we have any reports of fire on other levels, we have a situation down here, we need to attack the fire from the other side as well but im unsure how to get my team to the other side without the ladder and without having to go through the flames "

'Got it.'

*I go to the first door on the right and feel it. It feels fine so I pop it open with my halligan. Nobody inside, so I check the next one. It also feels fine, so I pop it open and look around inside. Nothing.*

* I move in and back up Anders and begin to see fire creeping into the bathroom.*
'Anders you got fire creeping into the bathroom.'
* I see a victim in the bathtub, unconscious.*
'And we got a victim in the shower.'

' Chuck, make sure yu are marking these rooms after they have been checked, no need for a crew to double check them later. '

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Matthews, We are gonn atake the Starboard ( Right )side of the ship on the 2nd floor on the same area as you and you guys take the port ( Left ) side and we will continue working our way forward on opposite sides of the ship but on the same deck. What im looking for is for us to parallel eachother attacking the fire and searching as we go. "

' Ok Florian Hook up a line to that Standpipe over there lets start our attack right here and continue forward, Chuck Continue your check of the rooms If you find a red let Me know I will check them out otherwise im gonna stay on the attack with Florian. '

"I'm missing unit updates. Can anyone account for them?"

"As far as I know, Ladder 1 is still doing aerial suppression ops while Squad 1 Raven is in the Jayhawk with Rescue 1's Cressler and Squad 1's crew is with Pumper 11."
*I look up as I see the Hawk hovering over us for a minute.*
'WE'RE RIGHT HERE!!'
*I look at Mitch.*
'Mitch, remind me to hit the pilot when I get on there.'

*I swivel around with the boy on my shoulder when I hear what Nicholas said.

'Alright Nicholas, forget the fire for now, grab the vic and lets get somewhere safer so I can check them out.'

" copy that jack BREAK copy that floan, give us another couple minutes to conitnue on these rooms, once we have suppressed and searched these rooms we can focus on the center of the ship"

* we move onto the next room and i begin to douse the flames that are rolling across the ceiling*

'Oh thanks Floan, I forgot!'

*I run back out real quick and put a red X on the two rooms I already checked. Then I head to the next room. The door feels fire, so I head inside. I see a man laying on the floor. He's concious and reaches his arm out to me.*

'Hello, can you help me?'
'Yeah, I'll get you out!'

'Hey Floan, I've got a yellow here, I'm bringing him out!'

*I throw him over my shoulder and make my way out of the ship.*

' Ok Florian lets continue to hit this area. '

* I kneel behind Jansen as he starts to hit the fire, I use my hand to signal him to widen his stream and go in a circular motion to maximize coverage. *

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-11 Matthews, Status report on your area please. BREAK Pump-11 Command to STO Garcia, Second update to follow stand by. "

*I back Tim up as he knocks down the fire.*

'How are you holding up?'

*I sit down and lean up against the wall for a quick breather.*

"Haha, ok. How are we getting them up there?" I say while checking my patient and looking at Hannahan.

*I come back to the ship and find Florian and Floan.*

'Alright, should I hook up my highrise pack or keep goin on the SAR?'

"matthews to floan, we're holding up, once jack and nicholas get back we will trade off and hit rehab and refill our bottles"

' yea im fine for now colwell, hopeing that jack will make it back fast, im between 1/1 and 1/2 air'

*Anders threw on our new SCBAs andre enter the ship. We find Matthews and Cowlell. They go change their SCBAs and we find our line. I pick up the nozzle and begin the next room.*

'They are comeing down soon most likely because I know I'm not going up there.'
*I look back at Mitch then look up.*

*Nicholas take his vic and we walk through the ship and find our way out with a person on our shoulders. I walk down the ladder trying to kep my balance and get to the platform. I hand the now conscious victim to a PFD firefighter. I climb down then help Nicholas with his person who is a adult male about 5'10. I support his weight and guess around 200 lbs. I set him on the ground and do a quick check over. He is breathing and has a steady pulse. I give him a quick pinch under the arm and he wakes up. I tell him to be calm and I am going to give him my air mask. He nods so I put it on. He looks at the girl who is crying and yelling 'papa' The man starts speaking French to the girl and she calms down alittle. A PFD firefighter comes over with some O2 tanks and takes the two victims to Triage. I walk back to the truck and change out my bottle then help Nicholas with his.

'Alright, grab some water then we will head back in.'

*I grab some water and drink it. I put my mask back on leaving the repirator off. I motion over to Nicholas to come with me and we climb back up the ladder. I walk down the halway and find thestand pipe we are hooked into and follow that back to where our line is.

'Nicholas, you take the nozzel.'

"P-11 anders to P-11 Matthews, you are clear for rehab when you are ready. We are back."

' Chuck until otherwise noted your on SAR Just keep bringing them out, if you get a red let me know I have the ALS bag. Jansen and I can handle this fornow, Florian keep pressing forward make sure we dont miss any of these rooms on or left and right but check the doors before we jsut go barraling in. '

* I continue to work the fire all the while looking up and expecting to see a ceiling start to give way at any moment. *

' I dont like it when fire is possibly above us like this. '

( Where is Florian )

'Got it boss.'

*I feel the next door and find nothing. I put an X on it.*

'You know what, we should try to make our way to the dining hall. There's gotta be a lot of people there!'

( also, where is mcevoy? havent seen him in a long time)

'' thanks jack"

' alright colwell lets refill our air and get somethin to drink'

* we exit the ship and head down for rehab*

'Alright Nicholas be ready, I am going to pop this door, it's hot so there is fire in there.'

* I croutch below the door and stick the halligen I recently accuired into the door jam. I pull the handle and the door breaks open. I cover my face with my arm .

* The flames shoot out at Jack. I open the nozzle on full fog and duck away myself.*

'Ok Tim. Sounds good.'



*I follow Tim outside to rehab and to change my SCBA bottle.*

(ten days, lets start to et near an end before it drags and people stop signing in cause they are bored)

((But we still have a lot of people to find!))

*After checking another room, I find another person. Another red, so I bring him out.*

'Here's another one Floan. I got him.'

(Yeah, that's why it's time to speed it up, at a rate of 2 per day, you'll be getting 100 days outta this call. Find them in groups now, we're wasting time spending too long, I don't want this to be a month long call)

" Pump-11 Command to Pump-Matthews....Once you get on we'll head for the main Dining room...You take your men and head for the Main Atrium. There has to be cells of people huddled together somewhere. all we gotta do is find them. For now put the fire out only where you see it Dont search for it anymore. Lived first. "

' Florian lets just hit it hard and agressive, Move forward and get to the Main dining room. Chuck ur with us too lets get it done. '

"Pump-11 Brondum to Pump-11 Command you want us to pull a line with you guys?"

*I return to the ship after dropping off my patient. I look through more rooms and mark the doors after I look.*

* colwell and i return to the ship with new bottles*

" matthews to floan, we are exiting the room area and entering the dinning room now"

* i take a look at the doors*

' man colwell, thank god for these fire doors, they definitly took a lot of abuse from that'

* we open the doors after feeling them and seeing they are good to go*

* we find a large group of people*

" matthews to command and EMS, we have a group of people here, looks to be approximatly 50, will give exact amount in a moment"

* we go around and check the status of each person*

' colwell, i got 32 here, how many you got'

*cowell replies he has 27 people*

" matthews to EMS, exact number is going to be 59 people, all greens, will be escorting them down to the busses"

'Floan, we need to get over there. There's gotta be more people.'

*I hear a pounding on the door next to me. I feel it, it's good. I pop it open and head inside. I immeadiately see a family of 5. A girl is lying down with burns on her legs, but she's alert and responsive.*

'Hey guys, can you walk?'
'Yes, but she can't. She's burnt.'
'Ok guys, I'll carry her out and you guys follow me.'
'Ok, got it.'

*I pick up the girl and escort the family out of the ship.*

" Pump-11 command to Pump-11 brondum....Negative, continue with matthews and I'll continue with the squad. We'll stay in constant contact though but we also need to hurry there isnt enough manpower on scene and we'll lose this if we arent careful along with everybody left aboard. "

*As the helicopter slowly comes down, we put the patients in the chopper and I and Mitch also get in. I close the door behind me.*
'Ok we're in. Bout time you guys came.'
"Rescue 1 to COPA, we have the team and we're on our way off of the boat using the Jayhawk."

"Copy Pump-11 Command. We will continue with Matthews and then re enter the ship and make entry to the library."
'Anders, lets get these people the Hell out of here NOW!'
* We start to send the people out behind Matthews and Colwell as we start walking behind them.*

((Don't forget there are 2 dining areas ))

'Alright Nicholas, lets get down the hall to help Matthews and colwell. Grab the line, we will make sure the halls stay open.'

*I get behind Nicholas and help him drag the line. We walk into the grand plaza and I hear banging on the door to the bar.

'Pompiers Pompiers!'

'Nicholas, lets get that door open.'

I bang on the door backand reply.

'Pompiers d'ERT. Est-ce que vous etes blesse?'

An excited man's voice replies back through the door.

'non, nous sommes ca va.'

'D'accord, un minute. Combien de personnes sont la?. Okay Nicholas pop the door when you are ready.

A slight pause before I get a reply.

'Vers trente'
