"Full gear everyone."

"All units be advised, this is a single sotry structure, several walk ways at where second, thiurd and fourth floors would be, however there is only one floor, that being ground. We've got one guard unaccoutned for, he's not reporting. Last seen near the back entrance. May be near the door inside or out. Not sure if injured from fire or other reason for not responding. Squad 1, if you're available, can you go back there with the TAC guys just ot make sure."

"Pumper-COPA, is there any history of collapses or maintenance on this building?"

"Fire crews, notify me on who will go to the rear. Me and Officer Stabler will escort you. Corpral Linda, I'd like you to speak with the perimeter guards about what they saw and establish a radio link if you can."

"They'll probably be sending a medic and an emt, standby for squad to report in."

*Grabs his jacket from his car and walks back to the search group, again waits for orders.

Bridwell: 'Search team, fan out and search the brush north of the warehouses. Use your flashlights to illuminate any suspects, and only fire if you are under threat.'

'Ok guys let's head back. Botfish, get on that line. Jansen come with me.'
*I grab and EMT bag out of the compartment and wait for Jansen.*

*Grabs his flashlight and takes alleys to the north brush.
*Shines his flashlight into the brush looking for a suspect.

'Davis, me and Stabler will be going with you.'

**I walk with Stabler over to where Davis is. I wait to see who will be going back.**

'If we're going to do something, we'll want to go quickly. We don't know how long he's been back there.'

"10-4 COPA, we'll stay with exterior attack until further notice."
*'Alright, what to do what to do.' I think to myself. I walk back and forth a bit and think of venting.*
"All ladder one personnel, be advised that after the TAC team make entry or find the guard, we need to start venting."
*I look at my SCBA after some time and see that it's going on empty. I go over to the ladder, get out a fan, for overhaul and set it next to the ladder.*
*I then walk around the Ladder and look towards the building and see that the exterior attack seems to be working. My thoughts swell with joy as the feeling of this being over soon comes over me. I then look up at the Ladder and see Bruce sweeping the water back and forth inside the building.*
"Ladder 1 to COPA, it looks as if the fire is dying down on the outside. The fire is not showing from the top windows anymore."

"10-4 TAC."

*I walk up to Jackson*

'Hey, welcome to the dept. Ok, stay close to me since its your first day. Are you ready to head out.?'

"DC burke, do we have any info on the suspects and direction of travel?"

((I requested the squad because that's their job, rescue, so I was actually putting the call to the whole team. Everyone is at least EMT cleared through COPA. I think there are two FF's, SAR and Raven on that team))

"Copy, standby, see if you can't get any water in through perimiter windows, doors or other openings, only the squad one rescue team can make entry at this point through the rear. They'll send back info on how bad the situation is from the inside, and if it's safe for entry. TAC is currently accompanying since this is the only known breached door at this time."

"COPA to libor, that's a negative, no information is known except that they were in black from head to toe, and they scattered after security feeds died in a fire. They could've shed their clothes, so keep a heads up. Check with the federal gaurds to see now what's on the go. I've got TAC watching the back of the building. All others are on full alert. If the suspects are still here, they will not make it out, we've got Fort Basio MPs lockingdown the area, State trooper has closed the interpass, and the rest of the area is crawling. They may still be hiding. Could be one inside at this point due to a breach in the rear door. That's what TAC's checking."

I pull up next to the ERDC "ALS 1 on scene by BLS 1 staging by country club." I say into the radio
I then walk up to Kaizer and Mc Guire. I over hear them talking about what to do in case of any victims. I nod my head in approval. I then go and get my ambulance set up for victims. I turn on the air conditioner and then get the oxygen set up as well as the burn kit.

"Medic command, I've just got a urgent call from the Trooper down on your end, apparently someone wanted to get through to Trulit, and proceeded to almost drive through the road block. Single gun shot wound to the shoulder. Non threat confirmed by Troopers, Requesting one of you head down there to pick him up and treat if anyone is available"

"10-4 DC, as soon as Jackson is ready, I'll be on the search.

"10-4, I have them in sight, BLS will head down there with the stretcher, I'll just bring him back here."

'I'll be back. Cole, you can stay here in case others come in.'

*Me and Putter go over and lift the stretcher, I throw the jumpbag over my shoulder and head over there.*

*As we approach I put on rubber gloves, see officer holding a bloody cloth over his right shoulder area.*

'Afternoon, he came through the roadblock despite the roadblock and our warning, so we took it as a threat and shot. He's still in his car, we evaluated him quickly, there is no exit wound, and the point of entry shows it most likely did not hit a bone.'

'Alright, thanks we got it from here, sir, we're going to do this quickly, we're going to put this stretcher down, then me and my partner are going to pull you onto it.'

*I angle the top part of the stretcher similarly to to the car seat angle*

'Putter, you get the legs.'

*Putter walks in front of the door, and gets ready to lift the feet. I put my hand by the uninjured side, and the other hand on the lower back. An trooper runs over to the passenger door, and supports the lower body as we move him onto the stretcher.*

*I nod* 'Thank you officer.'

*I take scissors out of my pocket, and cut the front of the shirt, then the sleeves.*

'No problem. We determined he is no threat, but I'm going to landline ERT with some info on this guy.'

'Okay, do you have a tow coming for the car?' *I say as a strap the person on, and keep holding a cloth on the wound.

'Yeah, we have one of ours coming.'

'Alright, great. Thanks for your help out here.'

*I go to the head end of the stretcher, Putter goes to the feet end, and we lift. I nod for Putter to get the jumpbag, while I quickly take a pulse.*
'195 and cold skin, feels a bit sweaty, looks like he's breathing heavy.' I think to myself

"Wait!' an officer yells. *I look over at him as he steps out of a state trooper car and jogs towards me.*

'Got a drivers license.' *He hands it to me*

'Ahh, perfect.'

*I quickly scan it, he's 32 years of age. Putter returns*

'Alright, in case he goes into shock, just rase the feet on your end when I lower the head.'

*I lower the top end of the bed, Putter raises the bottom end*

'Alright... (I look at the license) David, I know this is uncomfortable, but we have to keep you like this.'

*I take an extra blanket form the bottom of the stretcher, and throw it over him

"10-4."
'Hey Bruce, can you get the water through the windows now?' I say over the ladder mic.*

*Jumps when he sees something moving in a bush, draws his sidearm, and shines his light, then realizes it is just a squirrel in the brush
*Holsters his sidearm and continues searching.

*i click on air and climb to the top of the ladder and aim the nozzle through the window.*
"alright send me water!'

"BLS-1 to COPA, troopers did confirm he is not a threat, but they are going to landline you with some information."

((ALS-1, EDRC))
"BLS-1 to EMS staging, we're coming back with one male, 32 years of page, pulse 195, showing some signs of shock, cold skin, sweaty, heavy breathing. We have pressure on the wound, thee is no exit point, doesn't look like it hit a bone. Hospital is right across the street so just have your portable O2 ready, and be ready for quick treatment and transport."

*Putter and I quickly start rolling him back to the the EMS stage zone*

"You got water."
*I open the tank and let water flow*

*I hear Lt. Garcia's order and get out with breathing apparatus. I snap on y mask and put my helmet firmy on my head*
"Ready when you two are."
*I realize I fogot to turn on the mic and turn it on until the light turns green and I put my portable in my pocket in my coat and run the extension to my shoulder*

"Libor I will stay on the perimeter and keep the fire crews safe is that alright?"

* I hear all the radio chatter, things are really starting to, for want of a better word, heat up. My heart rate quickens at the news that there is a security guard missing, and again when the trooper gets hit. Things are happening faster now, firefighters are racing all over, hooking up attack and supply lines.

"EDRC to BLS-1, copy. I think we'll just get an IV or two going, and transport."

* I start walking back to the staging area.

"EDRC to Squad, notify if you need anyone to join you around the back for the search."

* I stop at the EDRC, and wait for BLS-1 to pull up.

I put on my B.A and get a halligan tool. 'Im ready to go!'

**Keeping cloose with Bucello, I draw my sidearm and flashlight. I assume tactical stance** (I'm going to school. Feel free to godmod me if you must)

"Ladder 1 to COPA, water is now breaching the windows. Please advise if we have any mutual aid from Trulit or Phoxlind in case this gets out of hand."
*I snap on my mask and start breathing air.*
'Alrighty. I don't think a crosslay could reach that high up so...i'm..going to wait until the Squad goes inside then I think I should tell them to vent it out. Wait structural integrity comes into place so I'll wait until we get a report from them.'
*I say to myself going back and forth in front of the building being careful not to walk down the sides of the building. The heat fogs up my mask a bit so I rub it off and watch to see what my men are doing. I walk up to the ladder and speak into the mic.*
'Bruce, how you feeling up there?'
*I walk up to Tim and tell him through my SCBA mask.*
'Whaen Squad 1 finishes up their search and says the building is structurally sound, I want you to grab a k12 and make me a hole the size of a small door okay.'

* I pop my head through the door of ALS-1
'Hey Zack, got a victim heading over here with BLS-1, GSW to shoulder, signs of shock. Care to assist when he gets here? I'd like to get him out of here quickly, lots of large blood vessels in the shoulder.'

'Sorry sir. Coming.' I checked the shotgun was loaded and then held it in one hand and raised my flashlight, ready to illuminate any areas that were too dark to search for the suspects. The radio chatter was almost continuous, the size of the incident obviously was larger than I thought.

'Davis, there's still a man assumed down at the rear. We should move quickly and make sure that we can remove him.'

*I jump out of the truck and put on my SCBA, and run over over to the line*
'Ok guys let's do this thing'

*Putter and I rush the stretcher into the parking lot and meet up with Kaizer. I open the back doors on ALS-1 and lift then push the stretcher in*

'He's yours now. If you don't need anything more from me I'll return to staging at the BLS truck. Oh, and here's his license for when one of you write the chart.'

*I put the drivers license on the ambulance bench, then return to BLS-1*

"EMS command to COPA, the man is in ALS-1s care, they will transport momentarily. BLS-1 will return to staging. Also be advised the state police will contact you via landline with some information regarding the incident."

*makes his way back to the search group.

* I jump in with the stretcher.
'Thanks McGuire. Zack, can you get bilateral large bore IV access, and start him on saline, wide open. And 100% oxygen in non re-breather mask.'
* I turn to the patient, and start hooking him up the the ECG and BP monitor while talking to him.
'Hello David, I'm Michael and I'm one of the doctors from the ERT hospital, and this is my colleague paramedic Zack. Can you breath OK?'
'Yeah...but my arm *@#&%|§+ hurts...' *His voice trails off, his condition is worsening. The blood pressure reads 60/40 mmHG. I carefully remove the bandage to inspect the injury. The wound is bleeding pretty badly now.
'We need to move Zack, think he may have nicked the suprascapular artery.'

" Bruce if you get low on air or need a break let me know and I can take your spot on the tip, we dont need you overdoing yourself"

( hey guys, feel free to godmod me here and there, this week has been crazy and still is so I will only be on here and there)

*I roll towards the burning storage building, passing through the roadblock on the way. I stop a good distance from the fire, as I see a lot of emergency lights and people both at the fire scene and other places. Probably a mix of both PD, fire, EMS and other agencies here now... I hear the radio chatter running, almost continuously.*

'F**kin' FD and their fireground bullshit chatter...', I mutter to myself, slightly annoyed.
((No hating on anyone, just my characters pessimism shining through )

*I grab the radio mic again and wait for a break in transmissions. Then I press and send:*

"PC-7 to command, did EMS request a police unit to stand by them specifically, over?"

*I sit back still gripping the mic in my right hand. Since I don't know where to stage or what's going on I figure it's better to just sit tight for now.*

'Alright.'
*I walk back over to the ladder again and speak slowly and calmly into the mic.*
'Bruce, how's it lookin' up there at your point of view? Also, tell me how much air you have left.'
*I let the talk button go and wait for Bruce to report back.*

"Linda to Halls I'm over here standing by a TAC vehicle waiting to get orders from Libor. I can't get radio contact with him yet. He started a search before I could get here."

*Looks around and spots Halls sitting in his car and walks towards him, while walking I look around in the crowd to see if anyone is standing out and don't really see anyone that strikes me as odd*

'Hey Halls I guess you and I will just kinda keep a look out for the fire personnel and make sure there safe because the scene really hasnt been cleared yet. But they need to get something on this fire. If we can ever get a hold of Libor on our radio we will figure out what he wants us to do. Sound good?'

"Copy EMS command, I've got the info on suspect, ALS-1 transport him to the special care team in the ER at the hospital. They're waiting."

"Alright Kaizer, Lets go!" I say .
"Burke I am beginning transport right now" I say into the radio. I start an IV and get oxygen started.
I turn on the siren and head over to the hospital.

"PC-2 searching the area." I moved forward, flashlight in one hand, illuminating the area in front of me. "Is there a possibility they've escaped the area and are in the countryside nearby?" I sighed and hoped that wasn't the case, searching here seemed to be a nightmare, but if they were out of the area, then it would be a lot worse.

* I help takes the stretcher out of the ambulance as we arrive at the hospital, and start wheeling it towards the ER.

"That's a big neagtive, we've got about 50 different agents and over a hundred soldiers that have locked down the area, no one got through there, they are either in hiding, or at most, one may have escaped. But they didn't go together, and no one was seen running into the woods, so it shouldn't pose a problem

"Copy that, I'll move on to the other two warehouses." I started walking away from the fence nearest the woods, towards the two untouched warehouses. Looked like decent hiding places, if they had the same designs as the other buildings, then it would be easier to search. "PC-2 again, do all warehouses have the same design specs?" I placed the radio back on my shoulder and went towards the first of the two buildings, ready to go in and search, possibly with back-up.

"Linda, I thouglt I made clear that you are with the group to assist the fire department and coordinate with the perimeter guards. You are NOT on the search team. I repeat, you are NOT on the search team."

**I begin moving to the side of the warehouse and position myself at the corner, waiting for the fire department to proceed with the rescue.**

'I'll park over with EMS and see if they are all right. Looks like the ALS is rolling out now... I'll be on the coms if you need me, well, if you can reach me that is.'

*I give Linda a halfhearted smile and roll of slowly towards the EMS staging area. ALS-1 drives past me with lights on as I roll in and park a few feet away from BLS-1. I turn of the engine and take the keys out of the ignition, then exit my vehicle and walk over to the EMS workers there.*

'What's up doc's, everything in order?'
