*As we pull up to the area of the fire, and I look around but see no criminals.*
"Ladder 1 on scene. Uhhhh... COPA, do you have anything else on the suspects. I can't see them and I don't want anyone getting hurt if they're still here. Raven, we might want to stage until the police arrive."
*I hold Bruce back before exiting the truck.*
'We should wait. Burke said that the stuff was already moved and the place looks gone already so hold up. Also, if the scene is safe, I need one of you to vent the rear of the building. If Raven tells you guys to do something else, let me know so I could know what you're doing.Don't want to lose you.'
*I catch myself sounding like an old man and chuckle to myself. I keep looking around and remaining vigilant to make sure the scene is safe.*

"BLS-1 will be establishing EMS command. We are in the country club parking lot We'll stage and rehab here, and if you have an available police unit to break from the search, could you have one just stay in our area for security? there will probably also be some foot and vehicle traffic here too."

*I pull across the street to the country club parking lot, there is an empty tier of the parking lot right near the road, I pull in, make a u-turn, and pull the ambulance to the entrance to the tier, blocking part of the entry so nobody come in, but leaving enough room for more EMS to come in.*

*I idle the ambulance, and take the keys with me. I step out, grabbing a portable on the way, I open up the back doors and go to a cabinet that has a 24-pack of water bottles on it. I take it out, throw it on the stretcher, and pull it out. I walk around to the cabinet with the jumpbag, and get that out.*

*as Hannahan tells me to wait back i fiddle with my radio*
'your the boss buddy'

"Out of nervousness, I carefully slide the lock down to ensure my friends' safety.*
"Damn it's dark out!"

*I stay inside of the truck and keep scanning nervously at the burning building.*
"COPA, do you have the age of this building? It's burning pretty fast."

*I go over any hidden dangers that are known at the moment. I think over the specs of the building: Tin roofing with steel siding, will need to cut vent holes with k-saw. Inside structure mostlikly steel supports... possible comprimised structure dure to heat warpped beams.: "I hope no one was cought inside" I say to Hannahan and Beard "Hannahan do we know the current contents of the building?"

*Slowly, I start to fall asleep. My head falls on the wheel of the pumper and blasts the horn waking Hannahan up in the ladder next to us.*
"Pumper-11 to COPA, do you have an ETA on when we will be able to go to work? I don't think this building will hold much longer."
* I let go of the button on the side of the mic while awaiting a response and push it back in the hook next to te radio*

**I drive past the two untouched warehouses before seeing the fire engines around the third, which looks to be nearly entirely engulfed in flames. There aren't any firefighters outside, which I find odd.**

"Attention: TAC on-scene commander will be Bridwell. Report suspicious activity to any law enforcement on scene."

**I get out with my rifle. Wighout anything fire-protective, I will not be able to provide much protection for the fire department.**

*I pull up to the scene and kill the siren.* "PC-5 on scene." *I put on my raid jacket, draw my pistol and crouch-run to Bridwell.* "What's the sitch?" *I double check my ballistic vest to ensure its tight*

'Well, the fire department can't do anything about the fire because there could be armed men around here. We can't do anything about the armed men because of the fire. It's an odd Catch-22 sort of situation we have here.

* I pull up next to BLS-1, and flip on the yellow lights in the lightbar. I grab the portable radio and the Doctor jacket, and step out. The area is bathed in the orange light of the fire, and I can feel the heat from it even from this distance. I walk around to the back of the car, and get the trauma kit and oxygen, then walk over to the firefighters. I spot Lieutenant Garcia, and walk over to him.

'Hey LT, do we know if there are anyone inside, and what's stored there?'

"Ladder 1 to Pumper 11, according to the EAT, all ERT contents have been moved to a different warehouse so that building should be empty."
'I hope this building goes down soon. I don't think they need it anymore and it will be too hazardous for anyone to even step in it. Dang this is just wrong. And no Jack, the place should be empty. Sorry for meh late response haha.'
*I look around still seeing no one but TAC here and there. I get nervous hoping it won't end like the bank situation but calm myself down thinking we got this.*

*Arrives on scene blocking traffic
*Flips his siren off
*Flips on his directional lights on
"PC-1 on Scene"
*Jogs over to were TAC and Sargent Libor are located.
"Uh, Anything you need me to do?"

I pull up with the squad and kill the siren "Squad 1 onscene"
'We have to wait till PD secures the scene guys'

I turn on my override to shut off any other transmissions until I have time to answer everyone elses.
"Ladder one, Suspects may or may not be on scene, requesting that you guys at least attempt to do an exterior attack, they are not inside the building, it was locked down after the alarm. The only people on grounds are ERT personnel and federal guards in Urban Camo fatigues. Assualt from exterior until able to move in under OSC's orders, if attacking at any other angles than front, police must be with firefighters."

"Copy BLS-1, I'll request that the state trooper lend us two units to completely close the Trulit interpass for the time being. If we can't get an ERT officer over there, I'll radio for a guard to come over with you."

"The building was constructed in the early 60's, retrofitted in the 80's and completely updated in 95 to be a full concrete structure reinforced on key points by steel walls. The building was constructed not to burn fast, so accelerates must be being used."

"TAC, please coordinate with Sgt Libor to arrange a search crew to help the guards. They have issued BOLO's on these men, and State troopers are coming in to close the interpass. They can't get far. I also need you guys to accompany fire crews that go anywhere other than the front side of the building.. If they enter, stay by that entrance. There are no plain clothes personnel here. If they aren't in uniform, or the guard fatigues, treat as hostile, and arrest. Want me to as for use of the containment vehicle from the prison, for holding possible suspects (containment vehicle has room for thirty suspects, 2 in a cell, each cell is seperate from the others)"

I release the override command and let the radio chatter start again.

"UMC-1 is on scene"
*Leaves my lights on and grabs my shotgun and walks over to TAC*

'Libor, I suggest that we divide up the patrol officers amongst the two TAC officers on scene (me and Bridwell)." Bridwell can lead the search group. I can lead the group that will remain here to protect the fire crews. The group that stays here will need to establish radio communications with the perimeter guards.'

((I know Bridwell isn't normally on, but I almost always end up as the de facto person in charge and end up with an inequitable share of the "action." That's why I'd like to be in the group that remains with the fire crews.))

"We need to move, or we'll lose the whole structure at this rate."

"Squad 1 to COPA, please advise"

"Hey Lou? I wonder if we could sneak up on the deck gun and shoot if nobody's in the building... It might spread quickly"

"10-4 COPA. Be advised, Ladder one will attack from the front."
'Alright guys lets go. When we stop put on your B.A's and get a stick up high enough so we could spray the roof down without being directly over the smoke.'

" Hannahan what if we get the riggers out and let the pumper start an exterior attack?"
* I look at the building full involved*

" yea, Hannahan, I doubt an interior attack is going to be a smart idea, those walls dont look too sturdy"

* I get out and start putting my SCBA on and wait until the ladder is extened to climb up to the top and move the nozzle around the roof*

*I hear the radio chatter and push the pedals listening to the diesel engine roar as I pull the truck forward.*

(That's what I said. When I said the stick, sorry i'll use lamen terms now, i meant the ladder and get it up high enough above the fire so you could spray off to the side without being above the flames.)
'I'm not letting you guys go in there! Exterior attacks only right now. Also, Tim, get a k12 and put it off to the side near the building so it will be easy to get just in case.'
*I look in front of us as we near the building and direct Bruce where to stop.*
'Stop right across from that fire hydrant on the righ but make sure the Pumper has enough space to hook up. I'll hook up the small supply line to the Pumper.'

*I walk around the truck after putting on my BA laying out the pads before putting the out riggers down. I put step on the ladder control platform and angle the stick at the building and extend the ladder. I move it to the side a little to avoid the smoke "Alright Ladders up"

'What's up, Kazier? For rehab, I'll just be checking them out in my ambulance and in ALS whenever it gets here. We'll split up how ever many is on the truck is coming so we can get them back in service quicker. We check blood pressure, heart rate and monitor their breathing, afterwards they get a short break. I keep the Air Conditioning in my truck high to cool them down, and I also give them some water. If their condition is not normal, or if their breathing is off I'll just put them on oxygen, or treat accordingly then you can handle them, I'm running command so if you believe they are unfit to continue fire operations, let me know and I'll handle that with fireground command and COPA.'


*I take the stretcher out and lock the wheels to allow more room inside the ambulance, I put the jumpbag on the counter under the table, and push the water bottles by the center console of the cab. I go up to the panel and turn up the AC, and turn down the temperature.*

*I walk to the cab, and turn the second radio to Fireground Ops, and turn it up, I grab a second radio and turn that one to fireground ops, keeping my main one on EMS and general dispatch.*

* I nod.
'Sounds good McGuire. It's Michael by the way. If they've lost their mask off in a smokey environment we should check blood O2 and CO levels as well. Got a pulse oximeter? The new ones can measure both O2 and CO.
* I sigh, and look at the burning building.
'Doesn't look like we'll be doing anything but rehab here. No occupants. Not that it would matter anyway, they'd be pretty fried by now.'

"PC-2 responding, where should I set up?" I clicked off the radio as I saw the flames just ahead of me. I was nervous, first call, an arson with possibly armed suspects. What a great start to the job. 'Uhh, lights still on, rear directors, turn them on when we get on scene, Floodlight, could be useful.' I muttered to myself, checking that I had my pistol in my holster securely.

'Right, I forget to mention that Michael. We should have at least one aboard BLS-1, possibly a second. You probably have some too. Yeah, probably only rehab, for the better though in my opinion, rather do that then have burn victims or smoke inhalation for fatalities. Makes our job a little bit easier here, especially with limited EMS.'

"Alright Pumper 11, we need you to set up at the hydrant next to ladder one. If you won't take this hydrant, we'll take it."
'Someone get up on that ladder but make sure your B.A. is full.'
*I swing on my SCBA around my back then attach my mask to my SCBA bottle but don't breathe in yet. As it swings around on my shoulder, I stay back waiting for Squad 1 or Pumper 11 to hook up to the hydrant. I do a quick Size-up of the burning building.*

'Got that right. You wouldn't happen to have a cup of coffee in that rehab kit? Was on duty all night.'

"PC-2 is on scene. Moving to TAC units and awaiting further orders." I flicked off the radio transmit button, seeing the flashing lights of the police cars ahead I decided to move further down the road and park up next to them. Now I was next to the fire, it was larger than it seemed before, larger than anything I'd seen in my life. I braked, turning on the directional lights and opening the door of the car, turning off the siren as I stepped out, walked to the trunk and opened it, pulling out the shotgun. I slammed down the trunk, checked the director bar was clearly visible and then closed my door. I started to walk towards the gathered TAC and police teams, and stood still as I joined the group.

'Where am I needed sirs?' I asked, eager to get to work.

*I pull up to the hydrant and wait for the hook-up.*

*Watches the fire burn as he waits for orders.

*I run over to Galligano while he's sitting inside the cab.*
'Hey, hook up your supply to the hydrant and I'll hook up mine to the Pumper alright?'
*I walk back to the ladder, grab the supply line, letting out a small heave as I pick it up, and drop it next to the pumper. I get the cap off of the side of the Pumper and hook the supply up to that. I then run back over to the ladder, dragging my line back with me, and hook it up to the ladder yet. I jog back to the pumper.*
'Hey Michael, done yet?'

*Sees a new face, and walks over to greet the man
"Hey, Nice to meet you, I'm Patrol Officer Blanc, new here too"
*Grins.

'Charlie Jackson, nice to meet you, on a not so great occasion.' I shrugged as I held the shotgun. 'Any idea what the hell's going on?' I was still confused, there seemed to be little going on, and our police units were just standing around.

"Uh, we're splitting up into groups, 1 is a search party, one is gona stay on scene, protection sorta. Just hope them a!@#$%^& get caught."

'Alright. Seems easy enough, any idea where the suspects are? Or we have no clue.' I thought for a second, gazing at the fire from the building. 'Well, I'm gonna check over with the TAC teams and that, nice to meet you again though.' I started walking over to the TAC and Police units gathered by an SUV, time to meet the higher-ups.

*I get out and hook up the supply line to our pump.* ((Call me Mike))

"Pc-6 arriving, will be advising soon."

*I get up to Bucello*

'Ok, we need to get a perimeter set up, I want to get a outer perimeter to hold them in and an interior to keep the fire guys safe, what do you think Bucello?'

"Seargent, I'd like to be on the search time." **I cock my pistol for emphasis.** "Jackson, welcome to the force, but I'm going to call you probie. Get used to it."

"Pumper 11-ladder 1, we're gonna go ahead and tap the hydrant. There's another hydrant not too much further down, we're looking at the possibility of a primary search if we can get access."

Pumper crew :
"Hey, lets go ahead and get an attack line set up, we're going to open a door to check interior conditions. Get that line ready encase it gets too hot."

"10-4 Pumper 11. Are you guys going to change hydrants or keep with the one you have? We're hooked to you right now but if you want to move, let me know."
"COPA, we have flames showing from the windows on what appears to be the second floor."
*I walk over to the ladder and press the mic that goes up to the ladder.*
'Anders, be careful up there. You got flames below you. How you feelin?'

*Jansen moves up the truck near the next hydrant. I jump out of the truck and close the door.*
'Hey guys, we're gonna hook up the next hydrant. We'll assist in the exterior attack.'
*I get a hydrant wrench and a line, unscrew the hydrant, and attach the line. Then I grab a crosslay off the truck and charge it. I set it down, grab and put on my BA, and radio in.*
'I'm ready to move up when you are guys.'

**I turn to Bridwell who hands me a list. I look it over and address the growing crowd of officers.**

'PAY ATTENTION all law enforcement officers! Sergeant Libor, Officer Blanc and Officer Jackson are to go with Lt. Bridwell and conduct a search. Maintain radio contact with COPA. COPA will be getting updates from the state police. Corpral Linda and Officer Stabler will be with me to coordinate with the perimeter guards and secure the fire department as they fight the fire. If no one has any questions about the mission assignment, go and carry out your objectives.'

((By the way, COPA has only allowed me to godmod Bridwell. Not my decision, but this is just so you know.))

*Finds Sargent Libor and walks towards him.
