Arson Attempt

'How am I doin' Doug?'
*I ask while waiting to be released hopefully. A bunch of thoughts race through my head as I wait for him to finish up. I look back in the ambulance and see how neat it is. I take a deep sniff and look around. I then stare at Ladder one and see the lighting is still working. I think about my crew and grab my radio, press the button and talk into it calmly but firmly.*
"Hannahan to Ladder 1 crew, can you give me a sitrep of what's happeining in there?"
*I put down my hand after depressing the buttin and look to see there is little to no activity outside. All I see are things getting chucked out of the window and landing with a thud.'Probably takin down the ceiling....gotta get to that when I get back.* (just givin' Dougal some time to post)

"No' get back in here, keep him in the squad.

* I think of updating COPA now since they might have hardly any idea what's going on. I once again get my radio and put it near my mouth, wait a second and start talking.*
"Ladder 1 to COPA, overhaul has begun. No word on the interior amount of fire though. Hannahan to Ladder 1 crew, did you find any more fire?"
*I put my radio back on my side and compliment Doug on his ambo.*
'This rig is nice. You just clean it?'

((Sorry Hannhan, a lot to read through, I missed you coming to rehab))

*Hannahan steps in, I get out a new chart, and get out the BP cuff, and wrap it around his arm

*I remove the BP cuff, and write 110/70 on the chart*

'One sec.'

*I check for a pulse. I write 120 on the chart, then listen to and watch his breathing.*

'Alright, Everything's pretty good, blood pressure is 110/70, that's a low-normal, but completely normal if after some exercise or hard work. Pulse 120, also normal, breathing is fine.'

*I unclip the chart from the clipboard and put it on top of the CAD, then grab a water bottle out of the case and hand it to Hannahan.*

'Have some water, stay hydrated. You can rest here fro a bit if you want, but you are good to head back out there. And I haven't cleaned it too much. Usually if somebody's throwing up will just park the ambulance on a hill, open the doors and hose off the floor, haha, but we try to keep it fairly clean.'

(Perfectly fine )
'Nope, I gotta go back. I'll take it easy though, thanks bye.'
*I get up and start moving back to the scene with my mask in one hand and my radio in the other.*
"Ladder one Command to COPA, I'm back in service returning to the scene."
*I get to the Ladder after it seems like such a long walk. I get another TIC from the compartment and keep it in my hand. I check my SCBA, see it's good enough, put my mask back on and make my way into the building. I feel rejuvenated as I walk into the semi-smoky building and I soon stumble upon Garcia.*
'Thanks Frank. Hey, did you guys check the other side of the building yet or just this side?'

"10-4"
*double checks that the doors are locked and jogs back to the search team.

* I step back into the ambulance, and hands a cup of coffee each to Zack and Hutchison. We ride the ambulance the short ride back to the scene.
'I hope that was the last one for the day.' I say, in-between sips of coffee.
'He was really circling the drain, geez.'

*I get out of ALS-1 as we come to a stop, grab the ladders medic bag out of the back of the ambulance, and talk to Kaizer.*
'Thanks for the lift back, did he make it through surgery?'
"Hutchison to Lt. Hannahan, where do you need me? I'm back on scene with ALS-1."

"We have this side covered, we did get it under control on the other side during the primary before we found the patient, but we weren't able to finish, you guys can have it if you want ^_^"

* I shrug.
'No idea. Didn't look too good though. When the trauma god decides to be a bitch there isn't all that much you can do. Thanks for the help, nice work.'
* I get my kit out of the ambulance, and put it back in the EDRC.
"ED to COPA, back on scene."

"Alright Hutchison,I need you to help with overhaul. Bring in a pike pole and TIC and come in through the rear door in the warehouse. You should see us there. K?"
'Yeah, we took out the fire while you guys switched sides...yeah i'll take it. Alright guys, they got this section, let's go over to the other side of the building. watch the fallen walkway.'
*I turn around and start walking toward the metal beam and go under it. I then turn on my TIC after struggling to use it with these gloves on. I move the TIC around while walking forward then turn to the side to get better views.*
'Hold on, we need a hose or something just in case. Hey Garcia, can I borrow one of your guys? I might need a hose over here.

'Yup, let's move in! Everyone have on their SCBAs?'
*I walk in the building slowly and cautisly (Don't know how to spell that) and start spraying fog*

*I walk over to the ladder, put down the ALS kit, and I grab a pike pole and a TIC.*
"Got it Lt., Im on my way."
*I walk over to the rear door way an enter the structure.*
'Ok Lt. where do you want me to start.'

'You could start in the far corner and work your way in. Uhhh..check the ceilings and walls. If you find something, let me know.'
*I search for any fires but find none but keep looking. As I wave my TIC to and fro, I find a little hotspot that is still flickering and put it out my boot.*
'Good ole boot, don't fail meh now.'
*I continue my journey on the search for hotspots. I slowly scann high and low for any hotspots but find none. Only smoke is in the room but the smoke doesn't hinder any visibility as far as I'm concerned.*

*I shut off the hose and begin looking around for fires*
"This is Botfish on standby, Let me know if theres any hotspots"

"This area's good, how's your side going Hannahan?"

'I got nothin over here! I yell from the other side of the warehouse. Anyone got anything yet?'
*I go over to where Tim is and start searching with Tim.*
'Nope, still nothing as far as I can see.'

*I head over to the far corner and unleash my inner destructive demon, ripping the ceiling and walls down and a part looking for hotspot. I check the C-D corner with the TIC.*
'Lt. I got a large hotspot over here.'
*I rip the wall and ceiling in the corner down to expose a lot of embers.*
"Hutchison to Botfish, can I get some water over here."

*i take my pike poke and shove in through the wall knocking it down. i look around and the office has been demolished.*
"Hannahan im done over here where would you like me"

'Good job Cory... Uhhh..Bruce, get me the fan in the back and when you get back in here, bring it back to this wall and point it towards the door. Thanks..get more of this smoke out.'
* I keep searching but all I find is smoldering pieces of what used to be a fire in the corner and once again stomp it out with my foot.*
'You...know...what...! Go away! ok.. there we go.' (every station has a cooky lt. haha)
*I then look for another hotspot by tearing out part of a wall but sadly, don't find any.*

*i walk out to the ladder and put my pike pole back then i grab the extention cord and the fan and walk the fan into the building to Hannahan point it twords the door. fire it up*
'Here ya go Hannahan'

"PC-2 returning to search. DC request the Scene Lighting be moved into the warehouse, so we can get the area lit up and get forensics in there." I let go of the transmit button on the radio in my car again, and turned off the car, leaving the directional lights on. I climbed out, made sure I had the shotgun and a some extra, and grabbed a jacket from the back seat, put it on, and started to walk back towards the warehouse we were searching.

( I believe there is already scene lights inside, myself and bruce set them up)

(I haven't seen that. Just checked last two pages, nothing. Do you mean the warehouse we are searching, or the warehouse on fire?)

(OK, I made a call for Scene Lights in the Warehouse we're searching.)

(Yeah I requested from TAC if they wanted some...oh well I'll get you some)
"Ladder 1 to Seargent Libor or PC-2... is the the scene safe?"
*I wait for a response then look around to see that everthing is working fine.*

*Arrives back to the dark warehouse, then clicks his flashlight back on so he can see.

"PC-2 to Ladder 1, the rear entrance is secure, we are still in the purpose of completely checking the warehouse, if you set the lights up near the entrance, we can move them in, or we can offer an escort." I let go off my radio, seeing the Ladder helping fight the fire as I went out of view to the rear entrance to the warehouse.

(Godmod me if really required, I'm out for the night.))

'Thank Bruce... alright get back to it then. The ssoner we finish, the sooner I could go eat haha.'
"10-4, can you bring your cruiser around for me? I can't bring it myself. I'll uhhh... put it in your trunk."
*I grab my pike pole and start banging at the ceiling trying to find something.*
'It's hot in here..'
*I think to myself talking about the turnout gear.*

'do you want me to take the lights to them?'

"stand by ladder 1."

"Standing by."
'Yeah...only if you have an escort or if one of them comes and brings their car down here.'

'alright'

*I rip down walls and ceiling to meet up with the rest of the overhaul holes.*
"Hutchison to Lt. Hannahan, Overhaul finished, still waiting for some water on that hotspot. Standing by at the hotspot."

"Someone wanna give a quick run down to me, like our current situation. If I get one more media call..." I say trailing off

"Ladder 1 to COPA, overhaul has started and a hotspot has been found. It's currently being extinguished and the East side of the warehouse is being covered by Pumper 11 at the moment. PD has requested some light from the Ladder so either they will retrieve it or we'll bring it to them by way of escort over."
*I release my hand from meh radio and wait for Libor to contact me again.*
'Ok, I think they may come over to us so when they get here, get two standup masts ok Bruce?'

'ok'
*i walk out over to the ladder and get two tripods out and the generator and set them to the side and wait for the pd escort*
"ladder 1 to pd your lights are at the front of the ladder truck"

*I walk over to Hutchison and spray fog all over the wall*
'There you go'

((Cough cough, there isn't much ceiling, it's a large concrete warehouse... Oh well, continue on with your overhaul))

I look at the Pumpers thermal cameras and see pretty much all hot spots gone. "Guys most of the hot spots are gone, but there is a little bit of a hot area towards the rear of the building. Can you check that out for me please?" I say through the COPA radio to the fireground operations channel.

"Squad to COPA, 10-4 on our way,
*I walk to the back of the rear of the building*
"I need a Pike over here to rip down this wall"

'Alright, got it.'
*I run over to the squad with my hose, put it down, and grab a pike pole out of one of the compartments. Then I run back into the building by Botfish.*
'Alright, where is it?'

"Ladder 1 to PD, we're standing by, what's your status?"
'I got no hotspots here. What happened to that fire that's still burning near Cory?'
*I look over near Cory and see that the fire is still prevelant. I walk over to it and lift up my foot and start kicking it out.*
'Not working..'

"Yepp it's gone. Thanks Guys. You should be able leave soon guys"

'Let's get the small flickering light near Hutchison out please?'
*I say a bit frustrated.*
"Bruce, any sight of the police yet?"

"negative"

*I hear on the fireground channel that they are starting to clean up, so I put the jumpbag back in the cabinet, and slide the case of water bottles behind the drivers seat, then go back outside.*

'Shouldn't be too much longer.' I say to Kaizer and Ridgeback. 'I'll be right back.'

*I step into the cab, sing onto the EAT and type in the information from the charts onto a Rehab sheet for the FF's department medical records.*

"10-4."
'Okay..'
*As Austrin comes over and waters down the place, I radio to COPA about our situation.*
"Ladder 1 to COPA, all fires have been extinguished, we're packing up now."

*i head over to the ladder and pack up my pike pole, the RIT tarp, the ALS kit, and the saw. I take my helmet and coat off and put it on my seat.*
(btw, Botfish extingushed it earlier.)
"Hutchison to Lt. Hannahan, Im back at the rig all packed up, let me know where you need help loading."
