Test Alert

All units of the ERT, this is a mandatory Annual Test. All units report Code 3 to city hall, and stand by in West parking lot code 2 for additional orders

En route code 3 patrol 6, I pull in the parking lot and get ready.

TAC officer en route code 3.

"Ladder one, on scene and in west parking lot code two" I wait in the truck for further instructions.

Tac RRT on scene and awaiting further info.

I open the door to my truck and turn the scanner up.

It's hot, so I open the truck door and lean out the driver's side. I pull a bottle of Gatorade out and chug half of it then screw th cap back on and stow it under the driver's seat.

*Opens truck passenger door and pulls out Iphone*

"Any of you guys have words for friends on a IPhone?"

I open the glove compartment and pull out my Ipod. "What Chris... I can't hear you." I say and turn the radio up and the music down.

I pull into the lot and see my men standing around like fools.

"All units, TEN HUT!

Ladder one, lets get hooked up to the hydrant, I want the tower up and ready to shoot in 1 minute, move move move. Patrol, can I get the East bound lane shut down for our Fire crew. TAC, set up a perimeter for City Hall. I want the only door not on lock down being the front. Then guard that one with your life.

Fire when we're hooked up and ready, send the HRES up the ladder and lets get some water on low pressure on the front bricks, left side, keep it cool. Any remaining crew, stack up with entry tools on the front door and await further orders. "

I step out of my truck, put on my sun glasses and walk around to the rear of my truck, shedding my coat on the back seat on the way over. I watch my crew from the three security cameras available as well as my own two eyes

I throw the ipod away, "You got it chief" and I grab a hydrant hose and hook up. Then I get my life line gear and hook onto the ladder. "Chris, help me out and get the stick up"

"Copy"

*grabs the stick and helps out raven*

I climb the ladder as it heads up into the sky, "Ladder one we're in position, starting cool down. Chris hit the pumps."

((Pumps don't need to be activated from ground.. We've got advanced systems. Can be controlled from bucket and adjust automatically.. Makes life easier))

"Good work ladder team.. However I notice my door is still unmanned!"

I look around realizing I'm being a bit of a prick for just simple demo, but hell, gotta look good and make them work

"Engine 11 on-scene"
**Takes out the task book and clipboard**
"What do you want us doing COPA?"

Get your men out and grab some entry tools to assist the ladder team."

((but we don't have a bucket truck Ladder one is a straight stick so there are no room for pump control or ladder control at the top, it'd be to unsafe, oh well))

I activate the pumps "Starting work" I say and start a low pressure sweep of the left side.

*starts pulling out entry gear from the rig*

"Garcia get your crew over here to help me."

**Exits Pumper**

"I'll help McEvoy"

**Runs over & helps McEvoy with the entry gear**

((Oh, look you're right.. Well there's an on off switch up there and the nozzle can adjust pressure... Those do exist, so it's not to far out!))

l1 maintaining cool down, requesting any updates on orders.

"Alright, all E11 crews headed over to McEvoy."
*Grabs a set of irons, axe belt, and puts a pick headed fiber glass axe in it*
**Goes over to McEvoy**
"Alright."

"Copy"

"We all ready with the gear to head in?"

Aerial crew, keep it wet and cool, don't vent. If it starts to get drenched, lay off for a bit, and move to the right. Alternate.

Entry team, wait for TAC to stack up with you, you'll do an entry, and clear each room, first for fire, then let TAC secure the room before moving on. If any extra patrol officers arrive, they'll cover you while TAC is securing rooms

"Entry team copies"

"Roger that((Mustache man)) DC" I say and lay on with the water.
((What time is it? Is it day, dusk, dawn, or night?))

"We're ready for entry."

**I undo the velcro straps holding together the halligan and flat headed wood handle axe.**

Entry Team, you're cleared for entry, search first room to left and let TAC clear. That should be the only one we need to check.

((As for me, I'm off to bed, it's 4am. Sleep well for me, I'll post later one when I've slept))

"Copy we are going to go to the front door and stand by for TAC"

"SUP1 to COPA, I'm onscene and I'll be covering TAC."

*pulls up shuts off siren and hops out of my truck and walks up to TAC's vehicle*

**Waits with Gracia & McEvoy**

I move up front and draw my weapon, as i do so i motion for everyone to get behind me. I go into the room and announce myself. "ERT PD". the room is clear and I holster my weapon as I see everyone else close behind.

*goes in with tac pistol drawn and lowers it to my side*

"Lets make entry'

*starts moving into the building*

"Any signs of fire?"

**Moves into the building with McEvoy**

*looks around*

"We have some smoked coming from towards the back of the building."

"Roger that I see it, could be normal, I'll keep an eye on it."
((Anyone know if Dave knows about that?))

"Doesn't look too bad, not an immediate threat right now."

Cleared main room, move to invesitgate the back area. Have TAC lead.

I draw my pistol again, as i do so I move myself infront of the door, I yell "ERT PD" and kick it open. I see an open canister and smoke coming out of it. I quickly clear the room and inform the firefighters of the situation. AS i do so I pray that im not contaminated.

"Raven to entry crew, smoke disapating somewhat. Advise of inerior condition"

"LF1TO to COPA, we have a container that looks like a canister that has smoke coming out. We might have a contamination. Do we have hazmat available and we need to cordon off this area."

*looks around*

"this is great we are screwed guys.

((I like how the only HAZMAT guy is outside on a ladder ))

"Roger that Chris, I can gear up in a class B and go in if needed."
