What just grinds your gears in RL

Post here on what just... well what the title says.


I work at a fast food place, as of now, and while I was attempting to get stuff ready to close. First from 10 to 10:30 PM was the busiest time we had all night, I should have been doing dishes, then to top it off at 10:55, a man comes in and asks for 5 cheese burgers, two tacos, and a steak quesadia... I about Sh*t myself. So I ended up staying until about 12:00 AM, when I would have been done at 11:30. two years and I will be EMT certified.... only two more years .

Since like late high school, I've always been racist against overly animated fat black women who push you in the hall way and say "Scuse chu!" That pisses me off so much, and then I see the same people haven't changed when I go around town. Most black people are cool, cept them. >.>

Raven, so true. I don't know why, but they like to be fat and have HUGE purses. We have this black kid in 5th grade and he did long jump for track...and let me tell you...he DID NOT have black hops lol! He only jumped like 7 feet compared to the 13 and 14 that I jumped.

yyyyaaaaaa, I live in the least diverse county in Iowa, lol not much to say on this one.

Same as Anders, we just doubled our population of black people, we are now up to 40. lol.

My graduating class of 233, 60 were black. Not sure how we got into a discussion about race, but... yeah, also am I the only white guy that watches Chappell Show, and gets most of the jokes?

We don't live in a really black town, but the town next to us is. It has a lot of apartments so...yeah...

I hate....well nothing hahaha, except for that one racist kid in my EMT class. I almost hit though and he got expelled so I was happy lol. Another white kid beat the crap out of him. I also hate Eq2b's....yeah, I said it.

things i hate in the fire service...
1) Vollys that bash career, and career that bash vollys i mean jesus christ were here to do the same job only difference is that one side is paid. i mean yeah there are some vollys that are f*ck up and give the fire service a bad name but, lets face it there are also some of the same problems on the career side
2)when were going emergency to a call people just dont want to get out of our way, but when were going non emergency some where they just split down the center
3) yes Hannahan i agree with the E2qb they sound like dying cats. real Q is where its at

Hey Cresslar, our rigs here have EQ2Bs, but they sound just like regular Qs, seriously. You can't tell the difference, just by the pattern of the siren.

One thing: Racism. I mean it wasn't towards me, but yesterday, me and three friends went on a bike ride. We went to Walgreens and bought some Mountain Dew. When we were checking out, the guy at the register said "BYE!" to all of us, but "Adios!" to my Mexican friend. Right when we walk out, my friend's like, "Guys, did you notice that he said adios to me and I'm Mexican?!" I wasn't bad, but it was hilarious!

To be honest, I really don't care about the siren or lights on my SUV, as long as they work, I'm a happy man, I mean the music in my rig is kinda loud anyways lol,CD player and cheap speakers with duct tape, I won : P

The only diferance between CAREER and VOLLY firefighters is some make CAREER out of as some do it VOLUNTARILY... all in the name , going to the high school tonight for a drill, three cars pulled over for us.. I was like WTF as I was waving lol. And I don't like qs on small apparatus... it drives me crazy, also Mech sirens are the true heritage of the fire department so lets celebrate that heritage ehh?

This is more of an obnoxious annoyance but i just noticed it again in a movie I was watching I know it's a movie so half the crap isn't real but the point is i hate when there is a fire or a crash in a movie and the fire trucks are on scene in like 10 seconds like they were already in the trucks sitting around the bend it sets unrealistic ideals in peoples heads....again it's a movie so they do that a lot haha just a statement

Yeah, like a crash happens and right when someone sees it, you hear sirens and emergency vehicles start pulling up onscene. But still, it's a movie.

I disagree on mechanical sirens, save energy and fuel and stuff, just use an electric, or Air horn two tones.

Nechanical sirens don't really use that much energy, infact older german ones scrapped off of dive bombers used wind speed as power lol.

haha, I'd like to see that. I was watching eagle eye and saw firetrucks responding to the bank fire alarm a little too quickly. Even my parents thought that was fake lol. I did see a hallmark movie (don't judge me!!!!) where a guy lost his family in a car crash and it showed the firefighters pulling hose and everything. Pretty accurate in opinion.

Yeah, some movies are really realistic. Especially the music video for Broken by Lifehouse, it's about a car crash and there are the firefighters and everything.

Well it's not so much just people just coming in here to live, but rather people coming here without being a registered citizen of the US. It's almost like...trespassing.

I was watching a show on dish, can't for the life of me remember what it was called, but they were a border town with Mexico. They arrested a truck load of immigrants and each on said they spent upwards of 10,000 dollars (i think it was) to rife in the trunk of a car to get over here. Now you can't tell me it wouldn't have been worth that 10,000 + to come here legaly and not get deported.

Yeah. It's not that hard, but there's also all the drug trades and stuff. I was watching a show about tunnels that the cartels use to bring drugs under the border and into the US.

People grind my gears. Just people in general. I may sound like an ass saying this, but if there's somebody I don't know, there's no reason for me to like them. Again, I sound like even more of an ass saying this, but people in a way kind of have to prove themselves for me to be friends with them or like them.

Oh yeah, Soccer Moms also grind my gears, and my town in full of them. These short ladies driving huge SUVs, that must have bought their driver's license on ebay or won it in a contest, and constantly on their cell phone while driving. Just an accident waiting to happen....

A friend of mine is a city cop here and he told me this story
He got dispatched to a call of a homeless man sleeping next to low income housing projects, so he shows up and investigates. He found the guy and found him totally dehydrated so he called EMS and the guy then complained about not being able to stand, so he checks it out and his legs were purple both of them and not to mention that was caused by maggets that were all over his legs, eating his flesh.....

True if saw it you would probably throw up unless you're used to seeing gruesome things everyday. So if your a big city cop you see it everyday most likely also if you're a firefighter or paramedic
