lol ya if i become an emt (which im still kinda 50/50 about) i need to work on strength. i went on a ride along and i could barely lift the jumpbag lol. they are unnecessarily heavy tho... lol

Hannahan, My birthday is in November. So I don't have to wait that long. Plus, if I get into the Explorers, I can do that while I wait.

There are three out of five ambulances currently in operation, only one truck at a time. There is 102, which is a 90's Ford box, and two like the one in the picture. There is another nonoperational triplet, and we have another Ford, which is like a 2003 or something.

Yeah, kinda ironic with me too. All of today, I was thinking how I'm going to get an iPhone next time I get an upgrade for my phone, and how nice the iphone would be, and how it'd be fun to try out and everything.

It's a tradition thing, they are replacing the old bulbs with LED bulbs now. But, some of those lights have been in use or 30 to 40 years.

I saw the LEDs. And, I knew that the stop thing in the front was for tradition. But I didn't know what the light was. Thanks! I also found this well I was looking.

In Canada, most departments will buy older trucks, replace everything inside, and leave the outside looking shitty. Have an officer drive around in that, looking quite regular, no visible radar or lights (all very nicely hidden) and wait for cars to break laws. Then they catch them. Everyone's better around cops, though this way, they catch the bad drivers in the act, in their natural habitat

No, an undercover car is a crown vic without POLICE written on the side. These are like 90's era pickups, half rusted out (well it looks that way at least) and falling apart (again, just appearance) that totally blow people's minds. I'm sorry, but I don't know who the police think they are fooling with Chargers and Crown Vics, and Impalas driving around, most on police standard rims... It's not very good hiding

Pff, dont need hiding, people are to dumb to realize, plus if its bad enough, you usually cant hide it quick enough. But really, people are stupid.

A couple towns over, the unmarked Impalas have normal rims. They're still painted black though, you can tell they're police cars. More deceiving though than the ones with black rims.

In new york (even the city), you'll get a pontiac gto or chrysler 300 pulling you over. Sometimes, you can even get a minivan with a bubblegum light inside getting you! I saw a um.....what was, an old camry as a undercover police car. Neat when you hear sirens and see that old thing flying by. NYPD and NYSP are veeeery clever.

Around here the police don't have to get creative. Everyone is a bunch of dumb****s and drive fast everywhere. Here there are to speeds, hauling *** or driving about 15 mph.

Yeah, and when were running code it's a nightmare. Rolling down the window and screaming at them works better than anything. And yes we have done it. Bringing in a code from a boat accident. And, our CEO saw us going through hot springs doing it.

I've resorted to some extremes, I've pushed people out of the way before, driven on sidewalks, through parking lots etc.

Do what you gotta do. My CEO called me on the phone and started laughing

umm, kinda..on the 11th one, showing the 3 trucks and the chiefs cars, in front of our rescue, there is three people standing, im just to the right of the guy in the blue shirt, cant really see me though..i got the whole thing on my helemet camera..best investment ever

ummm, nahh, id rather not, i told myself when i got it i wasnt gonna upload things..too many depts are getting suied over it..i upload some training videos to my facebook sometimes after i edit them and stuff..plus this was over 2 hours long of video

That sounds cool. I have seen helmet cam footage before, you can't really see much with the smoke. But BakerM92 has some vids with helmet cam.
