Arson Fire

((@Colwell, stay safe with them things ))

*I keep making my way down the wall periodicly putting holes in the wall to try and locate the flames. I hear John say he found something and then watch Cressler go and douse it. I knock a hole in the wall and flames jump out of me and almost get me.

'We have burning insulation, get it Tim!'

' Knock that fire down in that hole and lets finish this floor out lol'

* I ake my mask off and drop my Nomex around my neck, I put my cover back on and start breathing in the Nice aroma of a freshly burned building. *

" Pump-11 Command to Ladder 1 Command, John we're gonna head to the 5th in a moment if u dont need us. Overhaul is almost done here on 3. "

"P11, just finish up there on 3. I'm gonna head up to 5."
*I look behind me and wave to the other squad guys.*
'C'mon, let's go check out the 5th floor. It might've burnt out already, but who knows. Let's go!'
*I turn around and walk up the stairs where heavy smoke is still present in the building.*

"Pumper-11 Van Der Water to Pumper- 11 Command, do you need me anywhere?"

" Negative Casey, Kill the deck gun, Squad 1 is taking 5 and Ladder 1is finishing on 4 so we will be down shortly. "

' Well guys if there isnt aything else to do here lets go down, grab a drink and start packing our stuff up. '

'Okay Lt. sounds good.'

*see checking the walls with a few more holes and find nothing. I get behind Tim to help him move the line back down three floors along with Floan, Cressler, and Colwell.

'Well this was a nice fire to have just before Easter huh? I hope the people living here can find somewhere to stay.'

* Jack and i drag our line back down all three floors ( wow we had that much hose with us?!?!? lol)
and drain the line out, repack it, and replace my scba, put it back in the seat and take my gear off and relax while drinking some gatorade*
' i dont know about you guys, but im exausted'

'Same here, I am looking forward to some sleep tonight, maybe lol'

* I grab blue gateraid and open it and drink it. It feels good at how cold it is. After I finish, I take of my air pack and put it away in the side of the truck. I put my helmet on the dash and go back to the coolar.

"Ladder 1 command to Pumper 11 John, we copy. The ceiling is pretty hot on this floor so be careful when you enter the fifth."
*I spray circular and move forward through the floor feeling the walls and staying close to it while most of the smoke is seeping out of the meleted windowframe.*
(Imma be on the ambo for 6-7 hours and since Bruce has L1 in his badge and the word 'Officer', he'll be in charge.)

"I copy Lt., turning off the the deck gun." * I step down to the controls and shut off the gun. I go and get the water and gatorade out for the guys. I take one and chug it.*

"P-11 Van Der Water awaiting orders."

* I see Moon and Colwell walking out of the building and i follow them out and over to the truck, I notice jack and Tim are already there and drinking an energy drink. *

' Good job u guys, Moon, colwell u guys ok? casey great Job on the Deck Gun and we will get to that issue we spoke about as soon as we get back to the house. go ahead and Everybody grab a drink, drop ur packs and relax we have had 1 hell of a call. '

" Pump-11 to OSC. Pump-11 crew is out of building Accountability is 6."

'thanks dude! whew, that was certainly a worker!

*I say sitting on the bumper, drinking gatorade. I use the "Q" as an arm rest.

* I take a BIG drink of my Gatorade and set it on the floor under my seat. *

' Lets leave the supply line and 1 2" line connected, but lets pack up everything else. '

" Pump-11 to squad 1 and ladder 1, do you guys need anything up there? "

*I step out of the building and un-mask then I head over to the truck and put my SCBA back in it's holder and my dirty mask in it's bag so I can clean it later.*

"I copy Ladder 1"

*I start filling out paper work for the down ff and such.*

"I copy Pumper 11 is out of the building."

*I walk over to Chief McEvoy as the firefighters finish up.*
"Am I clear to leave the scene, Chief?"

'Stay here and let me check, I believe you'll need to stay for some more rehab then you'll be able to clear.'

"Any units still need rehab?"

"Got it."

*I walk back over to the unit and sit on the bench in the back.*

*Since Tim and nmine 2" line has been drained I put my axe away and crawl up on top of the Pump into the bare hose bed. We used everything we had on this one for the 2".

'Hey do one of you want to help me fold hose?'

' i suppose jack' * i say with a very tired laugh*
* i stand on the side of the pump panel and start to send some hose up to jack*

* I watch as Jack and Tim start to wearily fold hoses and put away tools, they look tired and whipped, Jack looks like he has aged a few years and tim looks like he will be sleeping on top of the truck rather than use the energy to get down. *

' Hey u 2 over there I saw a couple of walkers and Wheelchairs inside, would u like me to grab them for u guys??? Moon and I can help push u back to the station, maybe attach a rope to the back of the engine and just roll u back behind us LOLOL. '

' thats alright floan, then id need to wear my scba even more now from the exaust'
* jack and i finish with the hose and i step off of the panel and spot jackas he comes down too, i then open the rear door and just sit on the step and recline*

*After 20 minutes of intense fighting on the same floor, my PASS goes off indicating that I need to change my SCBA.*
'Give me updates guys. I've gotta change my tank.'
*I walk downstairs and by the time I get to the midsection of the ladder truck, I have 5 minutes left. I set the old tank down next to the wheel and put on the new one. I go over to M-5, grab a water bottle and drink it slowly. Soon enough, the fourth floor looks almost extinguished. I go back upstairs and grab my line starting to spray down the rubble.*
"Ladder 1 command to DCF1 and COPA, fourth floor fire is almost knocked down. We're just cleaning up here. ETA to the next floor, 5 minutes minimum."

' so floan, i say the probie fills these bottles once we get back to the hall'
* I say while tilting my head back and just closing my eyes, as hannahan's radio transmission shocks me and wakes me up*

' We'll all take part in filling those Bottles Tim, Colwell has been in a 5 story fire and was trapped for a short time, I say thats enough for 1 day for the kid lol. '

' haha, im just messin'
* i think back to when i used to be a probie..for a long, long, long time before i got out of it*

'haha I remember my probie days, first day I had Raven eating a trashed cupcake! Garcia walked in just as I said something.'

*I laugh remembering my first few days in the ERT.

'Boy has this thing grown since then haha, I remember when it was just the ladder and Pumper. Now we have a whole new station about to open!'

"Ladder 1 command to Pumper 11 and Squad 1, we're on the fourth floor heading to fifth. What's your ETA to the fifth?"
*I spray the many hotspots around and kick the rubble from next to my feet looking for the hotspots. I sweat which messes up the vision from my mask so I shake my head quickly and begin to finish the fourth floor overhaul.*

* i look over and see floan talking with the chief so i pick up my mic*
" pumper 11 to ladder, we are assembled outside at the moment for rehab, we can be to the fifth floor if you need us in about 7 minutes"
* i say while starting to stand up and getting my gear together incase we need to go back up*

*I take off my gear and sit down, and drink a cup of water.*
'What a fire'

(Sorry, storms hit my town hard. Been busy cleaning up today.)

"10-4 P-11. We'll be at the entrance to the fifth floor on the stairwell."
'Alright guys, I'm breaking you all up now. Jack, you're going to be with Bruce and Jess. I want this floor overhauled as well as possible so I don't get burnt when we come back down. Everyone else with me. Stay with me.'
*I look over at the stairwell and bust the door open with my body kind of body breaching the door. I fall on my arm with my nozzle on the floor next to me. I get up smiling but in pain so I rotate my arm and feel just a little bit of pain but I dismiss it and move on to the next floor.*

" Pump-11 to ladder 1 we will saddle up and be in momentairly. "

' Ok guys the truck needs our help on 5, We're gonna meet them in the Stairwell of the 4th floor, Lets get 1 fresh bottle, 2 2" lines and head up. '

* I walk back to my side of the Engine and put my BA back on, set the straps just right and wait for the rest of my crew to get ready. *

*I grab my SCBA and put it on and put the mask around my neck having no intention of starting air flow and making more work for me when I get out of here this time.*

'Okay Lt.'

*I walk around and grab my SCBA and throw it back on along with a new bottle. I but on my mask and helmet before I walk around to the hasebed where Tim and I had just finished folding hose in. I throw a bundle on my shoulder. Then I walk over to Lt. Floan where we are ralling.

' Moon can you take Jack and Colwell, We havent heard from squad 1 in a while, thats why we are going in to assist Ladder 1, Once we are up there can you do a search for them. Im gonna take Van Der Water and Matthews and attach ourselves with Ladder 1's crew for the remainder of the fire. '

' Remember u guys Anders and Colwell ur with Cressler, take what you guys need for any kind of demo and Suppression. Matthews and Van Der Water ur with me, same thing take some Demo and Suppression gear. '

"Ladder 1 to Pumper 11, you'll be up here for a short while by yourself. My guys will be going to rehab when you arrive but I'll stay up here with you. Copy?"
*I look behind me at William and see that he is still behind me and I back up the stairwell to the fourth floor.*
"Ladder 1 to L-1 exterior Tufts, get the deck gun back on the fifth floor. BREAK Ladder 1 to COPA, this may be late but has power companies shut down all utilities?"
*I put my radio back on my shoulder and tell everyone to go to rehab. I work my way to the third floor and leave my line on the fourth waiting for the Pumper and Squad guys.*
'Guys, I want all of you to go to rehab k? I'll be on the third if you need me.'

*I gear back up and walk over to grab the TNT tool.*

'Alright guys on me Colwell grab the line jack grab a pike'
*I pull the axe out of the door.*
"Cressler to squad team how are you doing in there haven't heard from you?"

*I give Colwell the pack of hose on my shoulder and go around the truck and grab a pike pole out of a compartment.

'Alright Cressler I'm ready'

'Lt can we go in or we waiting for you?'

*I adjust the hose pack while waiting for Cressler to get the O.K. to go in.*

' Go ahead moon, and Godmod me for the night ' ( but dont hurt me or trap me )

"Cressler to Squad interior were coming to find you haven't heard from you"
'alright guys I got lead colwell behind me doesn't look like there is to much fire left in there'
*i grab my axe and head into the building with the crew following and I meet Lt. H on the third floor*
'Hey Lt. you seen the squad crew around here?'

'Probably on the second floor or in rehab. C'mon, you're with me on the 2 1/2" until Floan comes to get ya.'
*We walk upstairs and I get to the fourth floor. I go over to the line on the ground and pick it up.*
'How close you been to a fire Moon?'

'how close did you forget when I almost was inside the explosion at the warehouse I caught.'

'Huh...yeah, I guess just..stay close...ya know what, take the nozzle. I'll take the hose. I'll be on your heel so whenever you're ready, go.'
*I give the nozzle to Moon and get behind him and bend down grabbing the hose. I tap his back to let him know I'm ready.*

*I take the nozzle head and peer down the hall theres hardly any smoke left so I keep my mask off I can see better without it. I head down the hall peering into rooms for anything amiss or smoke in the final room on the floor I see smoke pouring out from behind one of the walls.*
'Hey who's got the pike rip into that.'

'Improvise.'
*I take the wood door stop from my helmet and stick it in the jam. I take a piece of metal from off of the floor. After a few hits, the door busts open with fire bursting out with just enough pressure to knock me down. I get back up and get behind Moon so he could attack the fire.*
"Ladder 1 command to crew and Pumper 11, what's your ETA up here?"

"RA1 to COPA and DCF1, We are clear of the ETC, are we needed back on scene or can we clear this run?"

(we are in the door....it was in the wall...but okay haha)

*As he opens the door I open up on the hose and push the flames back
