Dispatcher Jeniffer: "You are cleared to move in"

"Alright, Jackson, get inside your car, use the PA sistem and get that crowd out of there"
'When will the Supervisor arrive?'

(Thinking British again, not something we usually have.)
'Martins, you and Cressler back me up, we'll ask them to move, I assume most will.' I say, moving towards the protestors after slamming shut my door. 'Listen, this is the ERT PD, I'm asking you to move back now, and allow the Fire Department access to fight the fire.' I shouted at the crowd, who were looking at us, two or three of them started to move away, some stood their ground, and others started muttering to each other, not sure if they were going to move, but with still around eight or ten of them still around, the four police and TTOs on scene wouldn't be able to arrest them all.

*I move close o Charlie's Car*
'Hand me that please'

(I'm not using a PA, I'm shouting at them, since I'm not entirely sure we have PA systems.)
'Last warning, move back or we may have to arrest you.' I shout, the crowd again, not entirely sure what to do, a few more start to back away, but one stops half way and rejoins the crowd, and they start chanting. 'Martins, grab the TTOs for me, we may have to arrest two or three of these guys, or we won't be able to stop the fire.' I say.

(Yeah, im new to that kind of language, TTO is?)

(Tactically Trained Officer, FD units who have basic police powers)

'All FD TTO, come right here to me'*I shout*
'Call me by my first name, Jackson'

' Ladder 1 to Police units, if you are unclear if your unit has a PA system you can come over and use ours, We have them in our trucks as you should have them in your cars. '

* I climb back into the truck and await clearance to go fight the fire. *

'Right, I assume we'll have to move them by force. We'll start to push 'em up back, and arrest any who respond with force or refuse to move, unless a Supervisor arrives and overrules, any problems with that?' I say as I arrive back at my patrol car.

*palm to face as I walk back to my truck and jump in the driver seat.*

*I go over the FD tac channel*

"All units onscene get ready to move shorty!"

'On my way' I shout out the window of S1. 'Wish me luck guys' I say as I hop out of the truck and walk over to officer jackson

'Hi, Im FF/SAR Jansen, Former Special Agent and TTO. Whats the plan?'

'We're gonna attempt to shepherd the crowds back, and then I assume we'll stick up a cordon, so no-one can get close if this is arson, if they don't move or react with violence, we'll cuff them and put them in the cars and take them to the station later. That OK with you?' I ask, checking my baton on my belt and then looking back at the chanting protestors.

'Woah I'm behind you? thats news to me? I'm still sittin in mytrucking waiting for PD to clear the scene or to get an order from my cheif LFO or garcia until then I'm sitting here in my truck as ordered'

(Even so, Manuel asked for TTOs over, we'll need your help if there's anyone resisting, since we can't cuff 'em all.)

((You're TTO, shoulnd't we protecting the FD? Im confused :S))

'janse were only suppose to handel it until there here...there here I mean if theres not enough of them to completly secure the scene we can help out but either way we still need to get an order from either the Chief, LFO, or TO. and we can hav ethis argument in character it doens't have to be OOC.'

'Cressler, I understand your concern, but your Truck Officer can't give you orders to fight the fire, until we've cleared the scene, I'm not in the mood for an argument over this, so either you come, or you stay behind.' I say, quick to get a move on.

'I told you I gotta stay here until I get orders from someone I dont even have a weapon yet if we get attacked because only officers have a key to the lock box.

'I guess your are right Moon, after this call I'll ask for some rules. Soo now we have to wait I guess..and about the gun, I'm not sure about that either, I thought we were the only one authorized to get the gun'

'We are the only ones authorized but only when authorized by COPA or chief thats why it's locked and the officers have a key just like you lock a drug box in an ALS ambo when the ambo isn't in use, and until we completly clear up the rules on being a TTO I've got to say i'm staying here until ordered but COPA or chief.'

(Not sure Officers should give authorisation for weapons, should really be in your hands in my opinion, think we need to sort out a lead agency on this as well, since I think whilst we're dealing with a police incident, we should be able to utilise TTOs.)
'Damn it.' I said, and walked away muttering about stupid poxy orders and regulations. "PC-2 to COPA, is any support available, we need additional support to move some protestors." I say into my radio and then decide to use the PA system. I grab the radio and flick the PA switch. 'This is the ERT PD, this is the final warning, if you do not vacate the area, you will be arrested.' I said, switching off the PA, this struck home, another protestor started to run, still leaving 6 or 7 standing and chanting.

'Yeah well I dont feel super comfortable working as a officer if I dont have to consdiering if anyone turns out to be armed I dont even have a bullet proof vest on. Were more like security guards we can't even technically arrest anyone we can detain them if they come at us or the FD directly but other then that we really have no authority.'

'Jackson, let me try this'
*I walk right in front of the protesters*
*They look at me*
*I shot at the air with my shotgun*
'This is you'r last warning, MOVE, or we will use water cannons'
*All of them move out but 1 stay's*
*I got back to Jackson*
'Arrest him?'

(protestants are a religion...you meant protesters.)

*face palm*

* I grab the fire radio *

"Shots fired BREAk Chief you want to stay here or back up a block?*

"FD be advised, that shot was a ERT-PD warning shot"

*Double face palm*

"rodgerrrrrr dodger....."

*I turn to lt.*
'So think burke is gonna wait tillt his is over to take his badge or call him in right now?'

(Pd is allowed to do that to warning civilians, NYPD Standart Officers got training to shot to the air to move crowds)
'This will no longer be needed'
*I walk over my car and open the trunk*
*I put my remmington on the trunk and close it*
*I walk back to my position*

( o geeze, now were shooting, i hate to say this but this call is going down hill)

'Holy Sh*t, what the hell just happend?' I say as I hear the shot.

I roll up my window and hear the radio transmission about the warning shot.
'Geez, that wasnt't neccesary nor legal' I mumble in myself

I turn over to Lt. Ewan. 'Are we gonna stage out a block?'

* I look inside and see all of the scba's are full and everything is ready and continue to wander the bays with mitch*
' Geeze mitch, sounds like some crazy stuff going on down there, shots fired, doesnt sound like our guys have even had the chance to start suppression'

' Ladder 1 floan to ladder 1 command shots fired. BREAK Ladder 1 Floan to all FD units are we staging away still suggest we do not enter area until PD gets the situation under control. '

* I keep my headset on and slowly and very stealthly duck under the door of the truck. *

(how close are you guys?)
'Bruce, lets get outta here. Make a right and lets head down two blocks. Make 2 lefts and we could stage there. Guys, I don't want the ladder up this time so when its safe, roll out the supply and hook up to the closest hydrant. I want to attack this fire from the ouside in so whatever side the pumper is on, we take the other side so park on the opposite side of the pumper, set up supply, and pull crosslays. Jess, you and Mike grab out one crosslay and start on the corner of the building. Its mostly wood and things so it shouldn't be too hard to get down. Chris, John, get out the second crosslay and do the same. Everything understood?'

(Martin, report to my office immedaiately after this call. NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DO YOU FIRE SHOTS AT OR TO SCARE PROTESTORS. If they were rioters, maybe, but they are protesting peacefully, they don't ahve weapons, and you guys can't prove it. A TTO's job is to protect the firefights, not deal with the police's job. That's why you're there. The Police supervisor is in charge of maintaining the protestors at a safe area, and the fire chief is in charge of fire control. I'm in charge of everything. And right now I'm very pissed.)
"Martins, return to your unit immediately. Holster your weapon and return to your unit NOW! The supervisor will take care of this." I yell angrly over the radio as I watch the officer fire a shot into the air from the scene cameras.
"Fire units, lets get them set up for extinguishing now, we need to get this fire under control."
(I'm going to pretend that we have police officers that acted sensibly and moved to civilians to a safe area on the other side of the construction site and monitored them)
*I watch the police officers escort the crowds back to the safe area while Martins holsters his weapon and gets in his unit.
(NYPD officers would be fired on the spot for firing a shotgun into the air at a group of onlookers to a fire. That's all they are right now, for all we know, it's a case of bad timing, bad placement.)

* I sit back in my seat and wait for the scene to be secured before executing the order. *

*I quickly put on my jacket while sitting in my seat. I momentarily unhook my seatbelt and swing my jacket on and zip it up. I sit back in my seat and click my seatbelt back in. I reach around and start hooking my SCBA up making sure not too use the air in it. I make sure its secure then lean back trying to remain calm waiting for Bruce to go.*

* I turn to the crew sounds like someones in trouble okay someone hop out and give me a hydrant hook up then I'll pull it forward to the scene so you don't have to hand jack it a block. I see them hop out and give me a thumbs up and I pull forward and stop and hit the parking break on AB side, as I hope out I notice everyone pretty peaceful so I decide to gear up. I grab my turnouts and put them on and put the zip cuffs in my turnout cargo pocket just in case. I quickly size up the fire and throw on a SCBA just in case but it looks like we can knock it down from a pretty safe distance. I grab the red pre connect and set it to a stream with a slight fog and just start to get the fire wet to keep it from spreading or until I get a further order.*

"I'm hearing a lot of chatter about shots. Please clarify. TAC is prepared to move immediately and can be onscene within two minutes."

((For real, what the hell is happeing? Are we firing on protesters??))

*I put it in drive, then pull around the corner. I park on the fire side of the road a few buildings down, giving the Ladder and Squad more space to park and operate. I press the anti theft button and take the keys out, putting them a a Velcro pocket of the turnout pants*

*I step out, get the jumpbag and EKG out of one cabinet, and put both on the counter in the ambulance after turning on all of the lights back there. I get a case of water bottles from the area behind the console, between the box and the cab of the truck. I rip it open then step out through the two rear doors and go around the side to watch the fire*

"PC-8 in the area. where do you need me?"

*I stand up out of my seat and start taghtening down the straps of my pack.*

"After hearing the gunshot chatters, Yea Matthews it's some crazy sh*t going on out there. I wan't to go to this call, waiting is boring "
I walk away from Matthews and walk around the empty bays, I decide to go check the equipment again, just so we are ready. I open each locker and check the equipment.

* I open the door to the truck and step out to watch the things going on around me, Looking down i come upon what looks to be a spent 12ga shell. *
' Hey you guys take a look i found some RL Evidence lolol '
* I pick up the shell and put it on my seat of the truck for later. *

(First off Moon stay with your company dont worry about PD you are no longer apart of PD STOP ACTING LIKE IT. Second this is way out of hand)

"NHRO1 is on scene will have command just start pushing them back we need to get fire in here asap."

GETS On PA "THIS IS THE ERT POLICE DEPARTMENT IF YOU DO NOT CLEAR OUT YOU WILL BE ARRESTED. DISPERSE NOW OR YOU WILL BE ARRESTED!"

(I didn't tell your officers to do anything? He came over me and talked to me I respond when talked to I didn't get out of my truck to go see your men I sat in my truck and they came up to my truck what am i suppose to do stare at them and ignore them?)

*I arrive on scene after a faster than usual drive through town. I come to a screeching halt behind UMC-1 and turn of the siren, leaving the warning lights on. I get out of the car and lock it, then walk over to corporal Linda which in on scene. While walking I grab the radio extension mic and hail PC-8:*

"Hey Linda, can you please tell me what the hell is going on here? Are we firing shots now?"

*I prepare myself for the fire and shake my hands and stretch for some work.*
"Ladder 1 moving in.
'Longest stage ever.' I say into my headset.*
'Pumper 11 should be good to start with suppression when we're cleared so that should give us time to set up and help.'
(Scene safe, units could move in.)

'Hey Lt, are we just gonna stage here for a little bit?'
*I keep sitting in the squad with the door open waiting for an answer.*

"No shots at all no one shoot anything"

The crowd starts to disperse.

"Linda to Fire OSC scene is clear safe to move in. PD keep the crowd going back do not use lethal force AT ALL. Do not even show your weapon"

(I'm still trying to figure wtf is going on. I was on shift all night last night and I just woke up)

"Then who fired a shot just now? Jesus tapdancing christ... Allright, you're OSC? I suggest we get some more units in here if we can, and that we relieve whoever fired from the scene. I'm going to start putting up some barricade tape."

*I walk over to my car, unlock it with the key remote and open the trunk. I get a roll of barricading tape out and close the trunk lid again.
I then walk over to the chainlink fence that surrounds the construction site, and tie up the leading end of the tape to the fence. I let the tape out as I walk around a lightpost, then around the parked squad cars, wrap it around another light post and the cut the tape and tie it of there. I then do the same on the other side of the entrance, leaving the entrance in the fence open so that FD can get into the yard.*
