"Guys, is anyone looking after the deputy, he is still moaning!!Jesus christ guys, move move move" I realize I'm getting a bit too emotional here "We can't afford any more losses"

'Alright, my orders are to send in our TAC guys up front, I'll bring up the rear and any patrol officers, in the centre, shotguns out, vests on, baclavas and helmets that we've got to spare. You won't match TAC in the beige but that's okay. Any questions there bridwell? We move on your call. '

((Sorry, didn't see that post this morning, long day at work -_-))
    * I get my gear ready, and wait for TAC to move in so I can get to the downed deputy. How he is still moaning is beyond me, with half his head missing. The shoot must have been angled upwards, missing the hindbrain, which is responsible for maintaining vital functions. I doubt he will ever regain consciousness. If he makes it to the hospital that is.

((GSW to the head has an approx. mortality rate of 92%, of which 73% of the victims died at the scene, 12% died within 3 hours of injury, and 7% died later. If they survive, the BP is kept above 90 mmHG systolic, and the wound is perforating as opposed to simply penetrating (the bullet doesn't exit), the patient has about a 80% chance of making it through with decent neurological function left.

    But yes, it's pretty deadly.))

*whisper* 'If you have a question about the entry plan, ask it now, because once the grenade goes off, we go straight in. Understand? When you hear the flashbang go off, there's no delay. Don't wait for anyone to say go, just open the door and end this nightmare once and for all. We have too much riding on this to screw up, understand?'

**I notice that some officers have shotguns.**

'No shotgun pellets! This is a hostage rescue! The spread of shotgun pellets is not predictable; someone innocent could get killed! Make sure it's slugs or beanbags only!'

*POP!* **The flashbang goes off in the front of the building. A half-beat later, I turn the knob and bring up my gun. Two men in ski masks turn their heads. I hear shots behind me as I bring up my own gun, firing solitary shots at the hostage taker in the rear. Both are hit; one goes down and doesn't move. The other drops his SMG and yells in pain.**

    'CLEAR! OFFICE IS CLEAR!'

**I look through the bulletproof glass and see the other two men move towards the door between the waiting area and the offices. One drops the ERT phone for his gun.**

"Not another victim" I say to Kaizer as I see officers run in. "Kaizer lets go treat that deputy then once the scene is clear we can move on to the person shot by the bean bag Your call" "Bridwell is EMS clear to treat the deputy " I get a grip on the stretcher and hold it really tightly. The tension is driving me crazy.

'We have to wait for the all clear from the TAC guys. ((He's inside the bank.)) And those weren't bean bags, those were live rounds. Let the EMTs deal with him, we'll take the deputy once things are clear. Once we get in, secure IV access and start him on saline. Then grab the 5% Mannitol from my drug bag, and push 70g. I'll secure airways while you do that. Then we move like hell, and hope we get to the hospital in time.'

*I rase my primary towards the suspects*

    "TAC, put drop the weapon!!"

*I move closer slowly keeping my eyes on the suspects as I move*

"Sir drop the gun, there is no where to go"

(suspect)" Then shoot me, shoot me!!! "

"sir don't do this" *suspect moves his finger closer to the trigger*

"Sir!! Sir!!" *the suspect raises his weapon, but I see it coming, I place my round right into his elbow of the arm holding the gun, and the weapon drops*

    "shots fired one suspect injured"

*I look towards the other suspect who has now droped his weapon and is staring blankley at me*

"get on the ground Now!!! arms and legs apart" *the suspect complies*

'CEASE FIRE CEASE FIRE CEASE FIRE!'

**All four suspects are either dead, injured or arrested. I move over to the vault, which is open, and see six hostages kneeling with their hands over their head.**

'I'm with the TAC team. Get up! We're evacuating you now!'

    **I get on the radio.**

"All suspects in custody or incapacitated. We're evacuating now. Do not reenter the building until it is deemed safe."

**I motion for the hostages to follow me through the open side door.**

'Get the suspects out of here! If you have to carry them, do it!'

((The reason I'm in a hurry is in case explosives were placed inside the building. BTW, there's two injured suspects, one probably dead suspect, and one unharmed suspect.))

*I hear the flashbang go off, the door opens, and then we rush in. I have little or no time to think, I just follow the group of officers in, clenching my teeth hard as we rush into the chaotic interior of the bank. I have a sort of tunnel vision now, and focus on one person at the time, my service pistol held level in front of me as I go.
I've set my shotgun down outside, as Bucello gave the order to not fire pellets, the only ammunition I had available at the time. My pistol will suffice in the close quarters anyway...

As we enter I almost immediatly draw a bead on the first gunman. I fire instinctively as other officers fire their first rounds, drawing a hit in the torso. I feel the light recoil of my gun as I press the trigger, a feeling I haven't felt outside the firing range in a long time...
As the first gunman goes down, I see that the second gunman is also hit by police guns to my right, and I hear him scream in pain. We advance, and the firefight continues. It all goes so fast; it's almost like I am a machine now. I fire my gun again at another gunman, his face distorted in pain as multiple shots hit home and bring him down. He slinks lifelessly to the floor. The whole scene is filled with distorted sounds, a mix of people shouting, crying, and various guns firing.

Suddenly, it's quiet. The assault is over, we are moving the coloumn of hostages out of the bank and out in the cold night. I secure and holster my gun, my heart racing, sweat running all over my body, shaking from the adrenalin rush. I suddenly feel cold and take a few minutes to calm down while waiting for orders from the OSC.*

"Alright Kaizer, let's go!" I say as I put his drug bag on the stretcher so I can administer Mannitol. I run to the deputy and say "Sir can you hear me! Sir! SIR! "I say nearly devestated. I keep it together and adminster the IV as well as the
Mannitol. I put him on the ECG and sadly he's a flat line. "No!" I yell, tears streaming from my face. I wheel him to the ambulance and say to myself, "No time to get emotional, this is an emergency!""Kaizer do you want to come with us to the hospital?" I ask assuming he'll say yes.

    * I sprint to the bank with Ridgeback, and drop down next to the deputy. I quickly determine that he isn't breathing, and find the larygoscope and tube. I get him intubated and bagged, and instruct a TSD deputy on when to press the bag. We get him to the ambulance, and I immediately start CPR, pushing epi and vasopressin as we pull away from the scene.

I take a sigh as I say, "Well we tried" "Now lets go treat the others" I walk in the bank knowing that the ERT police and TAC said there were no bombs so I begin assesment of the two victims knowing that one is dead. "Kaizer, can you help me with the dead victim"*I say as I realize I have the dead one. "We at least have to try to resusicate him."* I put in the ECG leads. "KAIZER, good news, V-fib not asystole. I shock him and he's asystole. "No" "Kazier can you pronouce him while I take a look at the other victim. Both vitals are stable so I begin applying dressing to the elbow and oxygen and then I realize that all victims are ethier dead or stable. (There were only 2 vics right? the dead one and the elbow injury one.)

**I move the suspect outside. Reporters are trying to get closer, but other officers do well to keep them away. I bring him to the RRT.**

    Me: 'First and last name?'
    Suspect: 'Jon Landers.'
Me: 'Why are we out here today? What happened here?'
Suspect: 'Isn't it obvious? We took hostages in a bank and we shot one of your deputies.'
Me: 'Alright, let me rephrase my question: why the hell are we out here today? As in, why did you have to go and do what you just did?'
Suspect: 'Well, after I lost my job at the bank, I was approached by some people who wanted to rob the bank.'
    Me: 'Who?'
Suspect: 'Not sure. We were short a few people. Apparently, they lost two guys in some other operation they had.'
    Me: 'What operation?'
Suspect: 'They wanted to attack some police station or something like that. I don't know.'
Me: 'What was the money supposed to go to?'
Suspect: 'Future operations, I guess. I'm not in charge.'

**I put the suspect in the back of the RRT.**

I put the victim on the stretcher and put him in the ambulance. I then drive to the hospital thinking about what Jon said about "future operations" and how we lost the deputy. I arrive at the hospital get the victim out of the ambulance and hand the report to the nurse. "Thanks Stabler" I say. Then I say into the radio, "Burke, should I transit the dead suspect or should we call the cornor." I say as I drive back to the scene. "Oh and by the way 2 vic's transported." I say into the radio.

'Yessir. Bridwell, I'm transporting the prisoner. I suggest you get in the RRT so that we can go back to base.'

**I head over to the RRT and begin putting my gear in the back. I check on our only unharmed suspect. He has his head resting against the backseat.**

    'You alright?'

**He nods. I get in the front, and Bridwell gets in beside me. I start driving back to base.**

"RRT transporting one. WIll be out of service for a staff meeting."

((Is the meeting in this thread or at the Police Station?))

    "Ten four, Halls recieved."

*I hang the radio microphone back on it's holder, sitting in my squad car while waiting for potential debriefing or rendezvous, further orders etc.
I'm calmer now, having gotten some water of EMS workers that I'm chugging down. I sit with the engine running so that the car keeps heated, just relaxing and listening to the radio chatter.
I've checked and secured all my weapons, noted down the amount of bullets spent and other details I might need to keep in mind.*

    *dials # given by DC*

    + = bank offical

    + "hello"

"Sir this is TAC officer J.Bridwell of ERT:PD. I am contacting you regarding an incident at bank # 341."

    + "incident??"

"yes sir, the bank was in the process of being robbed when we were contacted. After responding a breach of the bank was deemed necessary. After breaching the building shots were fired. All shots impacted subjects and not the building itself. Structural integrity of the building is fine and only cosmetic damage occurred"

+"can I meet with you in person to discuss the incident??"

"Yes sir, contact ERT:PD and ask for me, you will be given my contact info"

    +"OK, Thank you"

*hangs up phone as I close my eyes for a sec*
