Hey everyone I am planning on running for Mayor of Boston in 2013. Now what sorts of questions would you ask me? What changes do you think I should make? Any advice? Thanks!

Me too. kinda New Yorkish weird lol. Mr. Booth, please tell us how you plan to lower crime rates throughout this city.

Great question! I plan on having more street safe programs. Which are officers patrolling the street by foot and bicycles. I plan on opening police booths throughout the city, and having more officers assigned to specific locations where we have serious problems. I also plan on having more anti-crime and plain clothes cops, and a lot more.

And how will this work into the budget exactly? Wouldn't something like this cost a lot of money to organize?

Our Police Department already has all these things. We have booths we don't use. We have a lot of rookie officers, plus officers from that district to use. We have our special operations team that we can utilize when they're not breaking down someones door. We have 125 cops just in my district a lone. We have 12 cars we only use 6. Of those extra cops which there are about 35 cops per shift (I know it'd technically be 41.75 however 35 at any given time), we use about 16-17 of them in the cars we can always have them go to an area then walk around or bring the bikes around, we have a lot of bikes. We have a gang unit, narcotics, detectives in general we can utilize them in high crime areas. I have a lot planned.

And no Hannahan our police department has a lot of money for their budget and not a lot of it is used.

Can you change the city name from boston to Booth?

haha nope. Booth isn't even my real name. And I like the name Boston.

have you ever thought of adding powercall, roto rays, and mars lights to all boston apparatus??

No I did not. I think they're bright and loud enough honestly. You can hear them coming 5 blocks away and they have so many lights covering all 360 degrees of the trucks.

Ok so do you have a way that can lower taxes or ways that can raise your approval rating over the years? What's your plan?

I can't promise to lower taxes but I can promise not to raise taxes

Ok then, what do you plan to do about our homeless problem? I can't walk a block without seeing a homeless man begging for money on the corner.

Great question. I don't have an answer for you yet. I will need to speak with homeless people and see what they would like to see changed and then I will decide what we need to do.
