All Units On Duty

*After browsing emails, I get a call from the FBI investigator, asking me to come over to his field office at 0600, less than an hour away, and to place all of my units on duty...*

Station alarm and Broadcast Fire Radio
*Wail siren*
"All Units please report to Phoxlind ERT stations. Standby at station. Emergency threats received. All units to station to standby for further alarms. All units are now on duty. Report to station"

Police Patrol and Traffic broadcast radio
"All units to report to patrol cars and active duty immediately. Please be on heightened alert. All calls dispatched will be from COPA only. All units currently on calls, please conclude and return to duty patrol as soon as possible. All units to report on duty. If full weapons and armor aresenal is not with you at this time, please report to complex to receive. All Units are to be wearing bullet vests, and to have all their equipment in their car at this time"
TAC Pagers
*Beep doop, DE-DE-DE-DE-DE*
"All TAC units respond to complex code 1 for staging. Hieghtened alert placed. Report to station, gear up and wait further orders."
*EMS Radio*
"All EMS units please report to station for active duty call immediately. Please complete all current calls and return to depot for active duty standby. Hieghtened alert. All units on duty. More information to follow. MCU will be on standby for mass triage alerts. EMS Deputy Chief will escort, ED-1 will transfer to MCU for this current time. All Units on Active Standby Duty at depot for standby alert"

'Ohh sh*t. This can't be good.'

*I get up from the chair, go out to the bay and raise all of the bay doors, then get into my turnout gear assuming this has something to do with the car bomb Moon saw on the news*

*Seeing alert from the station, I close the doors remotely and let them know this is only a standby call, and to wait around the station on alert, but not in the bays, they mightn't need to leave, just be ready*

'Wow!'
*I get on my bunker pants and coat and set my helmet in the seat next to me as I jump in the drivers seat*
"SEV-2 to COPA, we are on standby for unknown"
*I put the key in the ignition and open my doors and hang out neextto my truck*
'Man, what's going on?'

'Uhoh'
*I run out to my POV grab my bullet proof vest and throw it on over my duty shirt then I walk over to the SEV and pull my bunker pants up put the shoulder holster on and get the service pistol out of it's drawer load it safety it and place it in the holster then I grab some zip ties and put them in my cargo pocket. I have no clue what this is but it sounds big so I'm going to be ready just in case. Then I hop in the passenger seat grab the radio*
"Sev-1 on stand-by at station in break room"
*The i head back to the break room*

*I put my head up listening to the call and my blood rushes. I feel my head swirl a bit then I go through one more emergency check, shut all compartment doors, and run to my gear. I put it on but not my SCBA, I turn my radio on from picking it up off of the charger and go to the breakroom. I then wait for another update from COPA so I could hopefully calm down.*
"Ladder 1 on standby."

*i go and put on all my gear and wait for the stand by*

*I roll up to the station and hop out. I grab my radio from my belt.*

"Basic 2 on standby."

*I go into the bay and do a quick check-over of the unit and clamber into the driver's seat.*

"Medic 4 copies standby"

*I say as I walk back into the breakroom from ETC*

" Medic 1 copies Stand-by. "

* I walk into the break-room of ETC and sit down on the Sofa. *

' thx again Dave for the help, we dont make too bad of a team lol. '

'That we do, well just as long as I don't fall down the stairs'

'Yeah, I did that once'

*I say as I gather my stuff hearing tones on my radio*

'Bet this is for us to stage somewhere'

* I walk out of the break room shaking my head in confusion as to what is happening*
* I throw my bunkers on and put my jacket and helmet in the back and throw a job shirt over me*
* i look at austin* ' Man, this can't be good'

*I hear this and i run to my car*
*Pressing the Sirene and Lights "ON", i start driving*
"UMC-2 responding, do we got additional information? Bomb device, suspects?"
