there so clean and shiny that ambo looks sorta tiny though? maybe it's the angle

Yeah, but I love the ladder and rescue! I like the chrome rims better than the red ones...

I love how FDNY keeps the same trucks schemes they just get new updated ones like they still run the same types of rigs they did when they started like the aerial scopes

I have to say I like the new dodge ambo's

Nice trucks, I'm not a big fan of the dodge cabs on ambulances though.

Yeah, not much leg room in the back, lol. If that's the only cab option dodge has at least turn it into a cabinet or something for gear.

I like them better than that old LAFD RA's. I can't stand the ford van styles. Which naturally another ambulance service I put in an application for only runs van styles. lol

lol, vanbulances are the worst in my opinion. I prefer Ford over any others.

It's kinda funny, at my ambulance building, we used to have one of the fire departments old vanbulances, we were going to take it out for a ride out of service just to see if it still even works. We asked the fire department, they don't use itso they were OK with it, but when we tried to open the doors, they were locked. Every one of them. We went up to the cab, and see 3 sets of keys in the front. So I guess the reason nobody uses the van anymore is because we're locked out of it. lol

Wow, that looks like BLS-1 lol. But yeah I never cared for them. I like the Ford F-350 ambulances and the new Chevy ambulances

Yeah, but I have to admit. I rode in both the ford f-350 and chevy trucks. The chevy's had a large amount of room in the back. Then again I know that the fords will go 95 mph. lol

haha yeah if you stand in our town and look every direction its hills haha so we need the power

That's basically Arkansas also. lol, which it's not safe driving a truck with an oversized box on the back at those speeds. But, you gotta do what you gotta do. haha

thats why we have a lot of Quick response and independent response coverage because alot of times we can't do much more then 30 or 40 to a scene

lol, yes, we do have a few members that are crappy drivers, lol but the only two pictures of our ambulance is either them getting delivered or coming back form repair.

thats okay one day i walked in and like I'm honestly not sure how they did it but like underneath the box was hanging down from the one and I went downstairs and was just like uhh heyyyyy do we know the 70-3 is falling apart?

lol, the other, we signed on one of our ambulances, and you know how with the rear doors you have to push the bumper up to get the stretcher in and out? In the morning, that bumper was fine. By night, that bumper was all dented and you had to kick it to get it to even budge.

all our back bumpers are dented haha which i haven't understood because we have the to big rubber bumbers on the back to. so it's really hard to hit stuff

lol, one time, we were parked along the side of a road, we idled the ambulance and went in to get food, when we came out that rubber thing on the side was half-way peeled off. Quality my ass. lol

bahah thats okay our one engine has been OOS for over a year

gotta say, not a fan of the new ambulances..but has anyone heard of a delievery date for the rescues at all? I know rescue 1 isnt getting one but the rest are, and yea the blue lights were just adopted into NY for rear lights only on all fire/ems equipment.and yes, they are by far more visible to people, you can see them from further away than any other lights

oh i agree they might be more visible but that doesn't mean your getting attention in Ny haha

I gotta say, I really don't like blue lights on firetrucks. That belongs to police cars haha. I don't care where it is on the truck, don't put it on at all unless its like a federal FD or something. Next thing you know, they'll put green lights on it! I'm kinda alright with the new font on the trucks too. Looks weird to me but I'm used to the old ones so its a change. And the new ambulances look too small and yes it could be the picture angle but durango? It looks more like a small SUV with a big box. This is just my opinion.

some do have green lights not FDNY but some companies in some states on the right side it goes back to an old naval tradition? I think it's a naval tradition

I know and I'm fine with that but just not FDNY. It'll look like a rainbow haha. A rainbow of colors.

FDNY do have green for Command Posts I think, not entirely sure, but I believe. Do like those rearmounts, but I prefer the new Marauder II Tower Ladders, pwnsome. Liking the ambulance too, it's quite nice for a Dodge truck.

i hate stupid drivers that just freeze when they see emergency vehicles and i hate electronic q's but before you correct me i know why they don't have real q's

Yeah, he was just playing with it to make it sound terrible. I like EQ2Bs, we have them on our ambulances, and I NEVER use the break on it, it just sounds stupid. Only exception is if I'm on the highway at night using it, then get off the highway into residential I'll break it.

Really? You use the break when you're in residential? Because on the nights that you ride, whenever an ambulances passes my house it's almost as if they (you) are trying to be as loud as possible....

I hope that FDNY will keep some trucks with the halogens still on them... It's a classic haha.

I think that the new lights on all the recent trucks are like part halogen, though it may be rotating LEDs, it's got a rotator in there I think still.

Oh yeah haha. I wanna see those Mack CF's go back in service for a while. eh, they always have 'em for spares and foam trucks.
