Toned out three times while volunteering for a BLS ambo...
1st time:
Kid fallen off of his bike. Get there nothing to serious, just some superficail lacerations. Mother refuses transport. Nothing big.
Bout 45 minutes later I get toned out again same thing at the same address.
This time the kids hand is seriously messed up. Again the mother refuses transport. An hour later the SAME woman put in the SAME 911 call, this time the kid has a compound fracture and my partner has to call for ALS support. (We needed drugs in this case.) But the mother again tried to refuse transport. So I had to call a police car (the only one in the area that had my sister) with a social services worker and I said "Ma'am I find you unfit to look after your child and Im having a police officer come to put him under protective custody and I'm going to have social services come out to investigate". After about 3 mintues of calling me a sadistic cock sucker, bitch, pussy, etc she picked up a two-by-four and started hitting the ambulance, me, and my partner with it, broke off a mirror.

BTW I love Hot Fuzz.
