    ERT Ipod app

Post by T. Matthews on Sun Jan 09, 2011 8:00 pm

I can't remember if i read discussion about this before, but does anyone know how to make Ipod/ Iphone apps and could make one for ERT with Burke's permission. I think it would be a pretty cool thing, and notifications could be sent out for new calls or posts...just an idea

It was mentioned before, though I didn't really look into it. If there was one, what features would you guys recommend?

Wait, unless the iOS developement program isn't the only way, it's a $100 fee to make apps.

Maybe send out a Push Notification whenever a call goes out. And You should make it a login only thing, and have a Roster. Also just (At least for the beginnings) leave it at Alarm Center, Operations Center, and announcements, (I'd mainly be using this if I'm out while there's is a call, so other stuff like off topic or the break room wouldn't be a vital thing to see.

o, see I dont know the least about making apps, so I was calling on others lol, but my features would be: options to click on each unit and see the roster of it and its details, and the eat and operations areas, I dont think the off topic and headquarters sections would be needed for a mobile device...but thats my 2 cents

haha, great minds think alike. Maybe if there is a login page, you could also have an option for not a member, and when the click on it gives a quick description of ERT, then a link to the forum telling them that's where to join.

I could try creating a simple app made to sent push notifications when a call comes out, but I'll see.
