    New Helmets (Prototypes)

Post by EwanRaven on Wed Oct 20, 2010 6:41 pm

Hey I've been working on some new Paramedic and Firefighter helmet fronts (What you see in avatars like mine) THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL, NOR FINISHED!

    Rundown:
4 inch front made for the MSA Metro edition of helmets
Uses Scotchlite for underneath text. (On mine as I was playing around with the editor so there is no scotchlite)
    Sewn in numbers
Uses colors of the text and text its self to show rank or position on the rig.

YOU CAN BUY THESE FOR USE ON AN ACTUAL HELMET! Pm me if you are intrested. All in all they look pretty cool. I need to touch them up and alighn them right put ehhh, good job all around.

Here are 4, one of me, Garcia, Ridgeback, and Jansen. (And soon to be all of squad one.)

Looks great. How do you put it on an actual helmet. I've wanted an FDNY style helmet for fire explorers for a while but I couldn't find it for a while.

What type of helmet did you get in Explorers? Find the manufactuerer and the model and I may be able to find one. And it depends. Find out if it's a pin on or velcrow, or as I know in exploers "A piece of duct tape slapped on the front"

Depends on what type of helmet you get and the guide lines you get.

Also, Ridgeback was the last one active in paint.net, so his got the "Awesome over"

The reason why we have the helmet fronts we have right now, is because we have the helmets we have. They're ugly I know, but they are the ones we have. I'm looking into other style fronts that will work for that helmet right now however, they will all be updated with less ugly ones

That's one I did by accident, wrong blue, but I don't care and i don't think blue being slightly darker is the end of the world... If you really want I can change it though

Nope, ERT Cadets in the Training Academy have totally different shields, and will have different sigs. As for probies, blue letters suffices atm.

Here's a little tidbit I'm gonna share.. IF you can help the community in getting say another 20 active members, then we'll have better calls and stations, as well as a fully functioning training academy, where if you're a course instructor, you get to make your own calls! Wouldn't that be awesome?

Police is growing now, I'm starting to fill TAC, and I'll be opening another station in another 5 or 10 police officers, and the fire department is growing as well!

More members means more officer openings, and I choose my senior members over newbies, so if you've been here before the new guys, and you're on the new unit, you get promoted Wink

    /Sales pitch

YEAH! You're right, the FD's pretty big, but we need some more guys on the main units, then we can start staffing the equipment trucks and stuff.

More guys on TAC? Awesome! Maybe we won't have to borrow patrol officers for raids anymore. (No offense to patrol officers; they are the most involved out of any part of the PD.)

We have 20 spots on the LFA.
The RA will be another 3-4, each equipment truck will have 2 and the DepC will have him. So that's a total of 29 people required at station 1.

Rescue will be opened when we have about 28 or 29, I just don't want to take anymore than 2 from each full truck, and one from the equipments, and one medic. So I would like around 30 firefighters first.

The Station 2 will need like around 20-30 as well.

TAC needs to be much larger.. I've got a force big enough for about 20 officers, I've got two. So recruit, I'll promote. Remember... If you bring in four people for TAC that know their stuff, and I start a new unit, as long as someone your senior doesn't want that, then you get it. You guys are all my future officers as long as you obey the rules, and you recruit more, otherwise, no promotions.

Those shield styles will be incorporated into the new signatures I'm designing. Ewan's Little blocks gave me new ideas for the signautres I've been working on.
