    Simplified.

Post by F. Garcia on Sun Jul 18, 2010 4:26 am

Alright. I know, I know. Another vehicle suggestion. But this is different. In the event of a medical aid, this would be considered a light rescue unit consisting of all ALS and BLS supplies necessary for pre-hospital care. It would also take less time to respond. Basically, it would simplify the event of emergencies, as it also has a hydraulic power unit for cutters, spreaders and rams, as well as airbags, step chocks, and cribbing. It could also take the place of the large Engine on traffic collisions with no fire and injuries of different variations. 2 dry chemical and 1 pressurized water extinguisher on board, as well as helicopter strobes, trauma bag, suction bag, ked sled, multiple variations of splints, backboards, ped boards, snake catcher, dog catcher, and most other pieces of equipment a normal engine would include excluding hose, foam and things like that.

That's something I want for the rescue station. In the end I want a rescue station with:
    Rescue 11 (heavy rescue)
    Rescue 12 (LEV)
Rescue 10 (something similar to that)
    Rescue Capt

I also have two other small stations in mind. A SOC Station and another one that I won't announce yet. Of course nothing opens til we have full Lightforce 1 additional

Well McEvoy , and Garcia, if you can get me another 15 firefighters (for the LF-A) and enough to start a rescue station, then I'll open the wildland station. Squad needs about 10 more firefighters, the wildland needs about 30 - 40. After I have all my stations opened, then I'll start adding and improving each station.

Fine with me I'm perfectly good with waiting. I'm prolly just gonna stay on this rig or transfer to the rescue station since I am into the SAR shit

Okay, so I'll try and see if I can get more people. Your still a probie Davis, fresh meat ^_^ we have 2 probies right now xD

So this gets a like? xD

Oh, and I'm gonna stay city. Structure's more fun then wild land for me xD So. win. xD

Anyways, we could keep one at station 1 for medical aids, because taking the engine all the time means it'll need to be replaced faster, and I already have an idea for that. lol

I can easily change the numbering, but this is an idea for the engine. I like rotators, but I also did one with rotators. This is an engine, not a pumper, doesn't have a monster tank, haha. 2 Crosslays, 2 1/2" hose set up for forward lay, 4 1/2 set up for reverse lay, 4 high rise packs, BLS equipment, ALS equipment, Flares, traffic cones, airbags, forcible entry tools, appliances/couplings, class B foam, class A foam, cribbing. This engine was designed for city, more mobile than the engine we're currently using. Shorter, and less weight, allowing it to take turns better. Not for rural area fires without a close source of water, but is suited for urban environments. Also, more hose than the engine we're currently using.

UPSIDES: MORE HOSE, SMALLER, LESS WEIGHT

    DOWNSIDES: SMALLER TANK

Just an idea as we start picking up more firefighters and stuff. ^_^ sorry, i have lots of thoughts in my brain. i get bored so i photoshop stuff.

Looks great Garcia! I really like the idea of this engine rather than the one we are currently using. I don't mind if there is a smaller water tank because we are basically always in the city which means that we are usually hooked up to either a hydrant or are running a off the tank for only a short amount of time. I still haven't been on a call where we would of used up the whole tank because we would of been using a hydrant. Thats my say! afro

Since this one has a smaller tank, I think that this should be the one for the medicals. It could the 2nd due engine on incidents.

LA City FD Pierce Dash pumper, otherwise known as the side-dash. I used to be on one. It is BLS, but it can also be outfitted for ALS use. There's also the ALS Pierce Dash. This is much nicer on fires, a lot more hose than what we're currently using.

Hey guys, we will have a city station eventually if we get enough men. Right now I have units that are set for multipurpose. Rural, urban and remote. Since that's our job at Main complex. Eventually we'll have wildland, ARFF, and a city support centre, but as it stands right now we only have staff enough for main, which means as useful as possible.

No once your unit is sent out, it's assumed it's fully staffed. otherwise, you'd have to have everyone report in, and it's be a day before the truck left the station in some cases

I've almost been left behind, was maybe my fifth year. I got out of bed, and I was the only one there, I slipped and hit my head and got up just quick enough to grab onto the back. Hurray for 70's crown engines.

Dude... that sucks. Crown engines are sick, but I like the ALF's or Pierces. Anyways, it would smooth things out a bit. Just send engine, ladder, box<=because it's not a medic) from the same house, and there's more communication, haha

=) Going 60mph down the road in a 30 year old engine, life is good. Also The fire engine in Sim City 4 was modeled off of the Crown Ambassador.

Really? That's cool! The air horns in that game are TIGHT! I just built a city called Pleasant Isle, and it rocks! It already has skyscrapers. I have some mods and stuff, but I still play the game how it should be played. I don't like override the game.

Here on ERT? No. We don't even have enough firemen to staff 3 trucks. There's an unstaffed squad. BTW, accept my friend request.

advertise a bit after we get some rules and regs, cause' right now I'm the only one doing stuff, Burke's saying it's a knowledge base and it's not the real rules and regs, when there is nothing, so doesn't that mean it's temp until he actually does something?

He never posted my medic guide, so if anyone screws a patient over btw, their condition changes, we need something more fun than. Oh, burn victim. give them some... Nitro glycerin, some glucose, and... lets give him atropine, epi, an i.v wide open, and oh, hey, lets intubate just cause. Oh, and defibrillate him. Nice job, he's still stable Very Happy no.

I'm working on fixing this site since we lost the old one. So not yet.

I don't let anyone apply to be whatever postion they want. Anyone who wants anything other than basic has to prove their knowledge or I don't let them in. That simple. You are not an officer, let alone a commander, therefore you cannot issue guidelines. You can post things approved by NFPA, but you are not permitted to post manuals. I'm in the process of trying to move everything around and make things work.

In case you didn't know, the old site was lost when the gov't seize ipbfree's servers. Therefore EVERYTHING I had is gone. The only thing left is graphics, becasue they were on photobucket.
